A very nice airport, good rental car options and the FBO guys are great. Always helpful and friendly - will drive your rental car right up to the plane and are usually out to greet you and tie down the aircraft as you are taxiing up (especially helpful at night). I fly in here regularly in a Cirrus and get Gulfstream service. Field is surrounded by hills so no ILS and LOC only gets you to 1200' AGL.

We were scheduled for departure from RUT on the evening of Saturday, Sept 26th. The C-172N we were flying had a battery failure and we couldn't get it started. Ben, from line services came by to help. It was a rental airplane and we were not sure how to plug in auxiliary power. Ben was exceptionally helpful in trying to figure it out. He spent time going through the POH with me, called an A&P mechanic he knew (the shop on the field was closed at the time), and when we realized there was no easy way to get the jump, Ben helped us secure the plane, organized a one-way rental car long after the Hertz counter had closed, dropped us to the car rental pickup area and stayed with us until we were on our way. He went above and beyond to help us. We will definitely return!

Arrived after closing but called in advance and coordinated a rental car with Hertz to be left inside the fence (Enterprise would not leave a car). Got minimal fuel - 2 night stay and was not charged a tie down. Very friendly and helpful.

On my recent visit to RUT, I elected to take advantage of Columbia's advertised "GUARANTEED" fuel at $4.95 per gallon and top off my King Air. Imagine my surprise when they billed me at $5.25 per gallon. What was even more shocking, was the manager at RUT and the head office in GON refused to refund me the difference. I suppose that Columbia has a different interpretation to the term "GUARANTEED" than I do, or with the policy that is posted on AirNav. Regardless of whether this was a deliberate act to deceive the general public or not, I feel that this reflects very poorly on Columbia and their unwillingness to demonstrate their true honor and commitment to customer service. I just feel sorry for the scores of other pilots that may have been victimized by Columbia as I have.
Response from AirNav GUARANTEED prices are indeed guaranteed. The difference that Mr. Harris experienced at Columbia Air Services-RUT, LLC was due to an inadvertent mistake: the prices were entered into AirNav without the 7% Vermont sales tax. Columbia Air Services-RUT, LLC and AIrNav, LLC apologize for this error, and to honor the GUARANTEED price we have refunded Mr. Harris the difference. Columbia Air Services-RUT and AirNav have now taken steps to ensure that prices are published with all taxes included.

We flew into Rutland for the Columbus Day weekend and were warmly greeted by the folks at Columbia Air. They helped us with air for a low tire, unloading the luggage and getting the rental car. The self-serve fuel was a great price. We will look forward to returning.

On a recent trip from KALB to KRUT our C-172N had a vacuum pump failure. The service my wife and I received from the staff at Columbia Air Services was outstanding. Katie arranged for next day repairs through local mechanic/operator S.D. Air Services. Al helped make our stay more enjoyable by assiting with transportation to the Hampton Inn. We certainly look forward to returning in the future.

Columbia Air Services were hosts to our National Fly in from 6-18 thru 6-22-08. The crew at Columbia set a terrific example of service. From assistance w/ fueling, rental cars, local knowledge, and a spotlessly clean FBO, we couldn't have asked for a better host. Clean Restrooms; computer and WX help make this a great stop. Lots of local attractions, great meals, and more made Columbia Air Services and RUT a great portal for all visitors to this beautiful Vermont community.

Excellent service! I flew in the day after Thanksgiving and they helped me get a rental car with no reservation (Enterprise is in-town and will pick you up at the FBO, apparently Hertz is also now in the main terminal). When I departed the following day, the preheat service was waived with 20+ gallons of fuel (I took 19.5 from the self-service pump, but the waived the preheat cost anyway). No parking charges either!

One of the most friendly and accommodating FBOs into which I have ever flown. Special thanks to Al.

Flew into Rutland State on Sept 17th. The folks at Columbia were really helpful with everything we needed and the gas was as posted. We stayed two days and enjoyed it. Beautiful state.
