I was on a very long cross-country flight. I had used hereinafter plan the fuel stops and find this site extremely helpful in that regard. One of the stops was to Harvey field in Wyoming. Since this was going to be accomplished on a Sunday I went out of my way the day before to call Classic Aviation and verify the fact that it was listed as having self serve and that the pump was working with a credit card so that I would not be stuck there. I talked to Bob on the phone from Classic Aviation and he went out of his way to describe various tricks in working the fuel pump and using the credit card system. He stated that Sunday afternoon he would likely be there. Events, which always seem to get in the way of our plans, made it so that I did not arrive until around 7 PM. Much to my surprise I found no self-service fuel was available. I called him and he said that for $50 callout fee he would come by when he could in order to charge me the full service price. It is really disappointing.

Arrived at KRWL planning to stay overnight. Bob at Classic Air greeted and fueled us and we pushed the plane into a hangar for the night. They were gracious in loaning us the crew car for the night. Spectacular early morning departure followed. Wouldn't hesitate to use/stay at KRWL again.

I diverted to KRWL as an emergency aircraft and ultimately landed single engine without advanced warning. The staff at Classic was superb and without a doubt the most helpful, and friendly professionals I have encountered in many years. Both Bob and Ray are outstanding representatives for this FBO, and the city of Rawlins WY. The Classic Air Medical Group that shares the facility are also top notch and equally impressive. Fare prices, outstanding facilities, and friendly people mark Classic as a truly great FBO. Simply the best!

We were stopped by weather at KWRL. Our situation necessitated an unplanned overnight stay. Ray and Bob could not have been any more accommodating. From making us comfortable at the FBO to directing us to great lodging (with a nice pilot discount to boot) at the local Fairmont Motel to directing us to great food at Buck's Sports Grille, to getting the plane into shelter plus providing us a courtesy car... They provided absolutely everything we could have possibly needed and with a smile and attitude to boot! Great stop, don't pass up an opportunity to stop at KRWL and see the fine folks at Classic Aviation!

Just like every one else, we found this place terrific. Super friendly service, long runway generally aligned with the wind, low price fuel--what's not to like? AND we took a picture of our plane with a hangar in the background that appears in a photo of Amelia Earhart. Classic history thrown in!

OUTSTANDING! As others have stated, Bob and his crew make Rawlins a "must stop" in south central Wyoming. Be sure to go downtown and have some Thai food while you're there.

OUTSTANDING...! (That's 1 star better than "Excellent"). Stopped there late afternoon 5 JUL 21. Bob met us at the plane. When we advised Bob we were planning to remain overnight and asked if we could get fuel now, he suggested we put the plane in a hangar before an impending storm hit. This man could not have been more professional, kind or courteous. Bob fueled our plane, secured us in a hangar (at no charge) and gave us the airport car for overnight. Next morning, his day off, Bob met us as we were securing the hangar just to make sure we didn't need anything. This is my 3rd time to use Classic Aviation over past 4 years. I'll always go out of my way to use their great facilities and "6-star" customer service.

It's too bad you can only give a maximum of 5 stars, because Classic Aviation at RWL clearly rates 10. We arrived in our Cirrus as severe weather was developing. Mike marshaled us in and as soon as we shut down told me he wanted to get me into a hangar ASAP - no charge. The hangar dated from 1929 and Mike regaled us with stories about the hangar, the airport, and the local area. Really interesting stuff. The small FBO was well stocked with water, soft drinks, coffee etc. Mike then gave us the use of the courtesy car overnight. Again, no charge. And he wouldn't accept a gratuity either. An absolutely first rate experience.

I'd be hard pressed to remember a nicer experience at an FBO. Extremely friendly and helpful, set me up with a hotel (everywhere showed sold out) and crew car for my overnight stop, neither of which I expected. You should absolutely stop here if you need fuel or to break up a trip.

Stopped here last month for an overnight, and was stuck for two more days by high winds. Bob and the other staff were very helpful and friendly, and we were able to use the courtesy car the whole time. Good hotels nearby, we could've walked to the one we stayed at. Good restaurants in town also, I liked the Mexican, but the Thai was good also.
