Western Aviation has been very welcoming and cooperative in every way. We started flying to Felts field for the same reasons others have mentioned in here - that being that Spokane International's newer FBO has been charging outlandish and downright unethical prices for their "service" - even when they provide none and aren't asked for any. They'll charge a call-out fee, service fee, and access fee to 5 different aircraft even if the same line guy is already there. Count on $400+. Nice!
From David S. Lennon on 20-Aug-2016

After making arrangements for parking my Saratoga and car rental request with Western Aviation, I was met by lineman named Ben, who couldn't have been more welcoming. His genuine manner and willingness to help made our first trip to Spokane a terrific experience. I later learned Ben is a pilot and A&P. Leslie and Connie, at the front desk had every detail of our overnight thoughtfully planned as well as a reservation at downtown hotel with good rates. Barb was equally cordial on our departure making this one FBO who goes the extra mile...A characteristic becoming harder and harder to find. I'll be back...

Western is a great FBO! The new building is nice, sure, but what makes Western great is the line staff. They marshaled us (in a piston single) to a parking spot right in front of the building even though they knew they'd have to tow the airplane to a more distant transient spot. Ben greeted us at the plane and asked our names, and remembered them as he placed the fuel order and such. Then, on our day of departure, they towed the airplane right back. For all this, we paid ONLY for the fuel. No landing, ramp, or even parking fees.

Significantly better than KGEG, highly recommend them. Friendly service no fees day or night for just landing. Have provided excellent help every time we go in. As an air charter operator we visit numerous FBO through out the Pacific Northwest Western Aviation is one of the best while their neighbor Landmark at KGEG is by far the worst in the northwest.

Ben in line service was wonderful in fueling the plane and providing a short-term rental car (2 hours) on 8/13/2015. The on field in the terminal restaurant was very good also. All in all an excellent experience at Felts Field.

I thought the transit tie downs were nice in both location and access to the terminal and restaurant. I was there for several days and it was nice that there was no fee for overnight parking. The self-service fuel was easily accessible and prices were as advertised. The pilot lounge is nice and the restaurant is wonderful - highly recommend eating here as the menu has great choices and reasonable prices. My only complaint is that not every tie down had a chain or rope to secure the aircraft, however I believe that there is rope available near the entrance to the terminal. I made some purchases from Western Aviation's main office and I was very pleased with the service and selection of products.
