I generally don't like big FBOs and have had bad experiences with other Atlantic locations, but these guys were friendly and the prices very reasonable for a busy Class C airport. They responded quickly to emails and I didn't have to wait long for the 100LL truck even though there were big jets being serviced. I'll be back!

Atlantic was a mediocre experience. The operation seemed busy but lacked "polish" and some of the details that I have come to expect at a large, international FBO were not apparent. Nobody met me as I taxied up, so I parked next to the other aircraft on the ramp. After shutdown a lineman came up and said, 'You can't park here. I thought you were leaving. Oh, never mind. We can tow you later. This will be fine.' After gathering my belongings they asked me what time I was going to depart the next day. I told them. When I arrived for departure it took them half an hour to clear all of the other aircraft out just so I could get to my plane. On the positive side, the rental car experience was pretty good at Go Rental, and their facility inside is nice, including the pilot briefing room.

Atlantic always takes care of me. They are great and I would highly recommend.

The service was as good as always, but I do have a complaint. The ramp fee or minimum fuel purchase was explained okay, but nothing was mentioned about the security fee. A $12.00 fee is charged to every plane to pay for security cameras. Well, if you only stay during the day, there are plenty of ramp employees on duty for security. Beware the hidden fees!

Updated Atlantic SNA charges. $40 service fee (waived if you buy 15 gal of fuel), $15 security fee, and $6/night for single engine.

We parked at the first building marked Atlantic Aviation. After chocking our aircraft, and lugging our bags across a ramp, past aircraft being washed, and into Atlantic, we were informed that we had parked at the wrong ramp. Apparently, Atlantic rents its first hangar to a maintenance company. Strangely, none of the four employees that walked past us on the ramp said anything about this (they may have been Atlantic or the maintenance company - I don't know). After being informed that we would have to move, another desk clerk had mercy on us. After our initial snafu, no problems. The staff was generous and drove us to pick up a rental car. I don't know if I will be back to Atlantic, but if I return, I will be sure to park in front of the SECOND building marked Atlantic.

  Nice facilities and nice people.

Line service here in a piston twin a turboprop has consistently been sub par. The girls inside are the exact opposite. Always very pleasant and eager to help. Came in today and the past held true. One guy (forgot his name) helped me lift 80-ish pound materials into the plane. Not sure if he was a valet or what but very helpful. When I got there line guy watched my park then watched me get my own chocks and watched me walk inside. Never once said a word

Stopped in at Atlantic in our C210 this Monday afternoon, June 13, for a quick turn around business meeting down the street about a mile away. Couldn't have been treated better if we were royalty. Two line guys assisted with tie down and fueling (took just 16 gallons to escape the $40 tie down charge)--paying just over $7 per gallon for 100LL. Went inside and we were given complimentary fresh sandwiches and cold water, and then helped to the shuttle car--a primo almost new Suburban--which delivered us to the front door of client's office across from the airport. Pablo our driver insisted we call when we wanted a return ferry ride to the airport that evening. All the extras were no charge other than a few tips. Be aware of the mandatory $12 "security fee" assessed by John Wayne Airport, not the FBO. All in all, a very convenient, pleasant and efficient FBO. Definitely returning.

This was my second trip to Atlantic at KSNA. Both times, the service was excellent. While the fuel price is a little high for a middle class pilot like me, the service makes it well worth it. I will be back!

Called to make arrangements for a two day visit to the area. Very helpful over the phone. I was amazed that they have no tie-downs. They have a parking area with chocks but no place to tie down. I asked about hangar space. For my little single-engine aircraft it was $100/night, but they were not able to guarantee me space in the hangar. They claimed there was no transient tie-down on the entire airport. A call to their competitor proved that wrong. You can guess where I went.

I emailed ahead by a few days to confirm the costs for this Class C airport. I got a prompt answer and an offer of a fuel discount. Off to a good start. When arrived, I was treated like a "real" customer despite my little SEL. I got a ride to a nearby hotel, too. The facilities were top notch for flight planning. I got to my plane, and the tanks had the air gap I asked for. And I was offered assistance twice on the ramp, by attentive personnel. If I had to go to KSNA again, I would come here again. You never get out of an FBO at a big airport for cheap, but at least I felt I got my money's worth.

Always great service! We fly here weekly and from our SR22's to Mooney's, to our Meridian now the service has always been the same regardless of type of aircraft or fuel taken.

Business stop (flying piston single) 11/22/10 - Everybody was very nice...Mixed in with a plethora of jets and treated mostly the same - no roll out the carpet or golf cart ride -but really wasn't necessary. All services were offered and they immediately responded to get my plane out, fueled and ready when I returned to depart without notice. Go Rental (for rental car) was beyond fair and nice. Will be back when I travel to the Irvine area again. As for price...Of course it's expensive - it's in the heart of a busy, expensive area.

These guys were great. They were super friendly and were extremely courteous, even in my little R22. Highly recommended.

From Isaac Swainston on 01-Dec-2010

Today was probably like the 4th or 5th time I have flown people to John Wayne (friends/family). Atlantic is fantastic, always helpful with crew cars-and a great pilot's lounge with an always useful snooze room. Today=NO RAMP FEE and I didn't even buy fuel (though we usually do by gas)

This comment is a little late. I stopped in here in the middle of June after Catalina got WX in. I was parked and the line guy pointed me to the entrance of the FBO then left. We dragged our bags inside and the desk attendant helped me find a hotel, they also gave me ride to the hotel (this part was Awesome). The next day the hotel took me back to the FBO. I had ordered fuel and did have my fuel taken care of prior to arriving. They pointed me towards my airplane and I again began the almost 200 yard walk with all my bags, I then had to move my airplane away from a large jet so I wouldn't blast the jet. My girlfriend mentioned how they really treated the jet that had arrived with a red carpet, golf cart etc while we had to walk to our plane, drag our bags and move the plane. I was a bit disappointed. Good job with inside staff, no so good job with the line staff. I plan to check out another FBO if I ever stop here again.

I have been to Atlantic at KSNA multiple times in the past few months and they treat me and my Cirrus with great service. They have a lot of large iron around, but they are very GA friendly. Sure fuel isn't cheap, but if you are going to SNA, Atlantic will treat you well. I even did a quick turn to drop off a friend and they didn't charge me at all. Very unique for a C airport.

With a couple planned business trips into SNA from LAS in my 33A Bonanza, I sent short e-mails to both FBO's on the field. Five stars to Debbie at Atlantic who quickly answered me each time, and handled questions, requests for ground transportation, and more. When Debbie wasn't available, she forwarded my requests to the front desk. (BTW, I'm still waiting for a reply from "the other guys" on the field three weeks later!). Atlantic's ramp is crowded and busy, but they seem to handle it pretty well. My party meeting me on arrival was made comfortable while waiting. On my second trip, Atlantic happily provided a short hop over to the Costa Mesa Marriott in their courtesy van. Nice shiny efficient facility.

Friendly and helpful service, in spite of our being a tiny Cessna rather than a big money business jet. Rented a car, parked for the weekend, all prompt and reasonably priced.

From Stuart Todd Mollerup on 07-Oct-2009

I really appreciated the front desk's help making very affordable hotel reservations at the Hilton and providing transportation to and from. Wonderful. The ramp, however, is crazy busy and crowded. I had my AI in my Piper Warrior II fail while inbound, and the attached instrument shop replace it in the morning for a very reasonable fee. Painless!! I also love that there is Windsock Pilot Shop across the street.

I give Atlantic a thumbs up. I had used them several years ago and it was a pleasant experience but I wanted to know if they changed. We were there yesterday and it continued to be a great experience. First, I had parked at the wrong place (a neighboring business) and they towed it to their parking for me. Then, they helped me unload luggage and cargo (my daughter attends UCI) and even helped me load into the car. Very helpful answering questions and even gave me a fuel discount without my asking. Flight planning area was great and my wife really enjoyed the well furnished pilots' lounge while I was flight planning. I fly a single engine Cessna (177RG) and was just in for the day. No charges except for fuel, which wasn't outrageous.

From John Wilson on 09-Sep-2009

Worst FBO! Line and desk staff rude and unhelpful. Couldn't be bothered to assist w/ parking and front desk was too busy studying her LVN book to offer water, directions or anything. Rental car way overpriced ($70 Corolla!) and it had 2 mx lights on. Desk person didn’t offer alternate car. When returned, they didn't know where they towed my Mooney and it wasn’t fueled. Previous post said $5 for parking, but it must have gone up, it was $20. They claimed that was county fee, and said they waived their ramp fee for fuel order. Atlantic must not want small planes, only jets.

From Christopher Lumsdaine on 13-Aug-2009

Flew into SNA on an Angel Flight mission. They were kind enough to park both aircraft up front to pick up / drop off our passengers. They helped the passengers with their luggage and waived the ramp fee for Angel Flight (unlike the other FBO on the field who said it would be "business as usual" for the fee.) This FBO deserves you business.

From Brian Carr on 09-Jul-2009

The service at Atlantic was outstanding. Helpful, cheerful staff. Only charged $5 nightly ramp fee with fuel purchase. Even with all of the Jets, treated a GA pilot like a VIP.
