Landed my Twin Comanche on 7/25/08. Experience was first rate from the moment I announced downwind on Unicom and was greeted by the FBO. Upon landing a golf cart was waiting at the taxiway with a "follow me" sign on the back. The line guys were very friendly and helpful, as was the staff inside the FBO. Although I don't play golf, I'm anxious to go back again. Highly recommended. I wish all airports had this top-notch service.

Flew the owners in for golf in KA350. Good friendly service. Called Unicom about 150 miles out and they relayed to Pinehurst for passenger pickup. Last fuel price was incorrect for JetA...So I update to current posted price.

I work in Souther Pines and my plane is located 25 miles north of there at KTTA. I stop frequently as the gas is at a fair value and the conversations with Beth, Vicki are great. The line crew is always there to park me and even tie me down. What more could a pilot ask for. N116WB. __|__ *---o--(_)--o---*

We spent a month at Moore County airport, flying day-trips about once a week while we were there, and had an entirely positive experience. The prices were reasonable ($40/month ramp fee for a single engine airplane), we were fueled promptly each time we landed, and the people at the FBO were very pleasant in all respects. Their AWOS has one flaw: The "present weather" element does not work. Sometimes when it was clearly raining it did not record or announce anything. All other weather elements (wind, temp, clouds, etc.) are correct.

Friendly people but not very helpful. They do not assist the crew with making hotel or rental car reservations, nor do they give rides anywhere. Guess they are not a "Full Service FBO"

What an excellent place! We recently visited SOP to pickup and ferry and aircraft that we bought back to CO. The entire staff was extremely friendly and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Rudy, the maintenance director, was excellent to deal with. If you are ever in the area, I recommend a visit to SOP -- "The Golf Capital of the US." I wish more FBO's were as good as this one.

Outstanding! I took my 2004 Super Decathlon to Moore County for maintenance and avionics service. Service was very professional and their fees were significantly less than I am charged at my home airport. I wish every airport had such good maintenance folks (Rudy and Tommy were top notch) and a good avionics shop. In short, it was the best service that I have seen from an FBO in along time. No charges for ramp space because I was in for maintenance and purchased fuel. Fuel and ramp charges very very reasonable. I have been into several smaller FBOs lately and have been forced to pay much higher rates for fuel, tie downs, and maintenance. They can provide a list of hotels that offer discounts to transient pilots. Hertz rental car service was excellent.

I'm a big fan of Moore County - friendly people, great service, and a very well maintained airport. I've had emergency maintenance work done there and the mechanics were responsive, helpful and thorough. I expect to pay more for an emergency, but didn't think the bill was excessive. It's still one of the few airports where someone not only answers the Unicom call, but usually does it with a cheery "how long will you be with us and what can we do for you today?"
