Contacted Eagle Aviation before a trip with our grandson to see the Black Hills' sites, Rushmore, Devils Tower, etc. The people there set us up with a rental car waiting on our arrival on 7/10/2008. The young man who met us couldn't have been more helpful. Tied us down, brought the car around and had the AC working while we got our bags. Winds the next day gusted to over 50 mph and when we got back to the airport on 7/13 to fly home we found he had secured the plane with multiple knots to make sure it was safe. They were great about helping us look for a place to stay, too. Although the fuel was a little highter than the surrounding airports, it was worth it.

Wonderful folks. Clean facility. Fuel is expensive compared to surrounding airports.

Arrived in Spearman on May 22, 2008 in some really crappy weather. The folks at Eagle Aviation had the rental car right there as we tied down. They also help set us up with a hotel (Holiday Inn) located just a couple of miles down the road. Stayed for 4 days seeing Mt. Rushmoore, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower, Deadwood, Badlands, and Custer State Park. Gas price is higher than the surronding other airports but still a great airport and staff to use as a base operation to see the Black Hills of South Dakota.

From a stopover in July 2006. Just now Nov. 2007, remembered to leave a note for folks flying in and an "ATTA-BOY" for those working at KSPF. This is a great place with an absolutely beautiful view right out of the past that only exists in my mind. The service was in the top 5 of most airports we visit from the Atlantic to the Rockies. An overnight & 4 Star dinner in Spearfish is a must.

Great service, we arrived at closing (dusk) but they cheerfully fueled our plane for an early departure and had made a "crew rate" reservation for us at a local hotel. (Very kid friendly hotel) Excellent service from very friendly people.

We have been into KSPF about 8 times in the last 2 years. Good FBO and good service, but the fuel prices are consistently higher than other places we stop at and there is no self-serve pump. Don't go here if you plan to save $'s on fuel. However, if the cost of fuel isn't a concern, it’s a great FBO located in a beautiful area.

Great service! We arrived over an hour early due to light winds. The staff had been tracking us on flightaware.com and lit a fire under the local restaurant to make sure our catering arrived early, too. They pulled up with the food just as we walked up! Friendly and fast service with a smile--these people love aviation, and it shows.

Stopped overnight heading to Pullman, WA. Great FBO. Fuel was the lowest I had purchased on the trip from Winder, Ga. to Pullman. I also recommend the Best Western in Sturgis too. I plan to stop on my way back from Pullman to take on fuel.

This airport is well maintained with very good facilities. Avgas is a bit pricey, but a little better than at RAP. It is a great place to top off the tanks prior to heading south over the Black Hills for a beautiful flight. The folks at Eagle Air are very helpful and professional. I'll be back!

These folks are GOLDEN ! Just stopped for a quick 2 hr meeting in town, they gave me a ride, helped with parking the plane, and charged me zilch. Very courteous and professional. Gas is cheaper than in RAP.
