Johnson Aviation was wonderful while I was working in the area. They arranged for a car while I was in the air and was waiting for me when I landed. Their facilities where surprisingly ample and nice lounges/tv rooms. Place was very quiet in the winter.

Very nice airport. Runway and ramp in excellent condition and a nice, new terminal building. Spent a few hours in the pilot lounge (small but comfortable with recliners, TV, and wifi). Crew car was available for lunch.

Nice looking airport, great conditions. I've flown in here several times over the past few years. The fuel prices are high and the service is greatly lacking. There are no tie-downs in place. When I called in advance and asked for some since I'd be landing after dark I was told they would, however upon arrival there were none in sight. Luckily I had some nylon ratchets with me. Basically, I think they focus only on the aerial spraying, biz jets for NASCAR, and their own flight school & charter services. They don't care about transient GA aircraft.

Response from Lisa Nasalroad, Johnson Aviation / Midland Aircraft
We, Johnson Aviation, do NOT post fuel prices on any websites personally. Arden Meyer was upset when he purchased fuel with us because the fuel price listed on this website was not the same as our actual pricing. Also, when Arden Meyer contacted our FBO with regard to tie-downs, the lineman did not know he wanted actual straps, but thought he was talking about the tie-down spots, which are clearly marked and available. Mr. Meyer also did not give us a specific time in which he was in need of services nor did he arrange for after-hours service. Our understanding was that all he needed was a place to tie-down for the weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience this obvious misunderstanding had caused and we encourage anyone going to ANY airport to call the FBO directly to get the current fuel prices. We pride ourselves in providing excellent service to ALL customers at all times.
