My aircraft is based at Johnson Aviation and let me say the Johnson's take great pride in the maintenance that goes into servicing my aircraft but every aircraft that goes into their hangar. I would recommend anyone searching for a mechanic to work on their aircraft to bring it to these guy's. Customer service like this is hard to find and finding a group of guys that actually care about the work they do. Thanks Johnson's

I have had a plane based at Johnson Aviation since 2002. This is a family run business and I have always had the highest level of service from Rex, Randy and Rodney Johnson who take pride in the business their father started. For example, they recently did the annual in my T210- found that the gear warning circuit board was bad. A replacement from Cessna would have been $$$$ but they have an electronics guru who fixed it for $46.00! They are pilots who will go the extra mile for you, whether it's coming in early or staying late- they take care of their customers!

No beef with Johnson. But, airport is GA unfriendly. We were looking for lunch. The city of Tyler spent a bundle on a new terminal with eatery. But, it was built to serve the 2 commercial airlines on the field, and GA has no access. Johnson's FBO had no car, and 1 line guy working. A 1 mi ride to the grill was out. I wasn't about to call Hertz and pay $40 for this. We walked down the hwy. Can't walk straight to the terminal because of the fence separating it from the rest of the airport. The place was dead. Just more taxpayer waste.

Flew in our Cessna 206 to KTYR Friday night for a football game on 11/23/07. They stayed open for us and let us tie down for the game. Avis rent a car met us there. Everybody was most hospitable and helpful with directions to Tyler Rose Stadium. Highland Park won! Great guys!

Cross-country in C-152 had to stay the night in Tyler for WX. We were picked up at our hotel in the morning and had the plane fueled. Thanks for the friendly service. I recommend this FBO... A+.
