My friend and neighbor, Kevin Campbell, is having an unlimited aerobatic competition airplane built at MX Aircraft based at KUKF. He wanted to go up and check on the progress of his MX2, so I flew him up in my Van's RV-7A. The KUKF runway is in perfect condition. The tiedowns are well marked. The FBO is well equipped and the FBO staff is friendly and accommodating. Jim at MX aircraft loaned us his truck to go into town for lunch and to check out the paint shop at Miller's Hot Rod Barn. FYI - You won't get this level of service from MX unless you are having a plane built at MX. Ha! Don't let the receptionist at MX Aircraft fool you; most of the folks we met at North Wilkesboro were great!

I fly to Wilkes Co. Airport often and found the staff courteous and helpful. Fuel prices are very good and a nice facility.

Amiable and courteous staff who were eager to please when I asked them (due to changes in the weather) to add fuel to the airplane three different times while it was parked on the ramp. Thought the rate quoted on their rental car was per day so was delighted to find it was for all three days instead (one third the anticipated cost). Overall, a great place to fly to.
