I stopped in on the way from Florida to Denver for an over-nighter. The folks there were extrememly helpful in getting me to my hotel. The receptionist is also a CFI at another nearby airport and she went out of her way to go there for me to pick up some charts I needed for my next leg. Highly recommended stop. Great folks. Nice facility.

Nice FBO and great fuel prices! The food counter doesn't open until 8 so I missed the opportunity to try the food even though the menu looked good (breakfast burrito!).

Nice, relatively new looking FBO. Park under a canopy. Restaurant just inside. Not a real sit down restaurant, but more deli style. They have burgers, bbq, and Boar's head sandwiches. Linemen and Deli people real friendly. I've heard they have free shuttles to/from the casinos, but didn't try it out.

Very nice FBO and good fuel prices. Flew in while ferrying my recently purchased plane from Houston up to Delaware. Stopped in for the evening with no reservations. The young lady working was very helpful in getting us a room reservation at Harrah's Casino for only $40 for the night. After we landed a charter jet landed with over 100 people going over to Harrah's as well. We were able to hitch a ride with them over to the casino. In the morning we got a ride back to the airport from Brenda of Kings' Way Travel (901) 282-7004. The casino is about a 15-20 minute ride from the airport but very nice/economical place to stay. Would highly recommend stopping in Tunica if it were on your route!

Stopped here overnight with my homebuilt Bearhawk airplane on my way up to Oshkosh '09. I had a mechanical issue (broken tailwheel fork) and Skip Wertz (Operations Manager) went out of his way to get me in touch with the guy who could help me fix it (John Carson). Skip even towed my airplane down to John's hangar, stood by while the repairs were made, and then drove me into town to the casino where I stayed. I had left my airplane tied down outside and during the night a T-storm came through. Skip took it upon himself to have my airplane and others pushed inside the hangar for protection. All I can say is AWESOME service. None better that I have ever seen. The FBO is also a top notch, modern facility with an excellent deli and pilot room. 1st class all the way! Thank you Skip for all you did for me!

Beautiful FBO, well staffed. Linemen accord red-carpet treatment upon arrival. Cruiser's Deli is just inside the FBO. Great lunch-stop; counter-service. I love the Reuben (see other comment on this site).

From Mark Parmley on 01-Jun-2009
I agree with the other writers. The linemen make this place nice. Super guys with great attitudes. I doubt that I got the same treatment that the MD80 crew got, but I didn't buy that much fuel either! It would be nice to have a loaner car for lunch, but oh well.

From Fred Taylor on 13-Apr-2009
Stopped in Saturday evening for a trip to the casinos. Lineman was glad to give us a ride. Was told by the casino (Sam's Town: 800-456-0711) to call them next time and they would gladly arrange transportation to/from the a/p. At Sam's Town, ask for the shift mgr (Ron).

The only FBO on the field is Tunica Air Center and they get a big thumbs up for service provided. While they did nothing huge, they did everything right. Examples include: red carpet treatment plane side (my friends were new to GA and thought it was great), waived over night fee with purchase (not uncommon) and uncommonly friendly folks from the marshal to the lady behind the counter. What really pleased me was this afternoon as we were fixin' to leave. I had to add a quart of oil and didn't have a funnel. The fuel truck was on the tarmac and I was able to catch the gentleman's attention and use sign language on what was needed. He brought the funnel over (the cool thread on with the on/off valve) with a shop towel. He waited with me while the oil was going in just cutting the fat. I asked where he wanted the funnel put up and he said he’d wait and take the empty quart with him as well. While this is nothing spectacular, per se, his attitude was over the top. THANKS Tunica Air Center!

KUTA is really good place to stop. Great fuel prices on JET A, friendly and helpful staff, good crew car access, good food, quick in and out.

I've flown to Tunica several times and have always had a pleasant experience with service above and beyond. I fly a long EZ which has an unusual parking/towing requirement and the staff is always very accommodating. The airport manager (Skip) came in at 5:30 AM to help with my early departure. Kudos.

Flew to Tunica to visit nice excellent FBO who helped when I had GPS problem..I fly there 3-4 times a year from Delaware and it offers all the amenities of the big guys but with courtesy..

Hats off to the folks at Tunica Air Center! After having flown into there for many years, I am amazed at how fast the airport is growing. Who would have thought they would have scheduled Air Carrier (B737) service and a 9500' runway! Yet the employees at the Air Center continue to make you feel important regardless of what you fly or how much fuel you purchase. They are a great example of how an FBO should be operated! Good Job Folks!

Made a quick stop to pick-up an urgent part for my work. The staff was very helpful despite two guys who were dirty and smelly from working in the heat. We parked under the cantilevered canopy and got the red carpet. A nice addition is the "new" deli. (Their version of a Reuben is very good). Cliff, give my thanks to your staff for great treatment despite our terrible appearance. Did not buy fuel, but looked very reasonable. Great airport! They've come a long way from a town that used to have one flashing light and one gas station. If you have time, I highly recommend the "Blue and White" diner in town. Great chicken-fried steak.

Casinos took me to Tunica. Great airport and FBO in the middle of nowhere. Excellent fuel prices, and great help in renting a car (no more than 10 minutes). Don't hesitate in stopping there.

From Matthew Schertz on 21-Jul-2007
Flew in for the casinos. Great airport and FBO. Get rental car transportation is very spotty. We did use Kenny from the comment below (662-357-0890) to drive us from the airport and back, very prompt, $35 for the trip.

From Bob Feindt on 26-Jun-2007
Great FBO surprise surprise who would have thought out in the middle of nowhere. Excellent fuel prices and service.

From Al T. Cobb on 12-Jan-2007
I just read the last comment. I don't get it. I have landed here no less than 20 times. I have never had bad service. As a mater of fact, I would rate this FBO as one of the best if not the best.

From Braun Mincher on 31-Dec-2006
Unfortunately, this is yet another case of an absolutely amazing facility run by people who could care less about the customer. We spent 2 nights in Tunica on our way back to CO from NC transporting a newly purchased aircraft. They did not answer Unicom on any of our 3 tries. We had called earlier in the day to check stock on some charts and transportation; they could not have been less. When we left this morning (in the rain), the desk staff barely gave us the time of day and just watched as we made several trips back and forth to the ramp (although they drove right past us in their covered golf cart). Upon arrival, there was both a local sheriff deputy and TSA security person just standing at the front desk reading the paper. I am sure that the casino money (taxes) helped pay for the place, but it is not run very efficiently. We did however find a good local driver who runs a shuttle (taxi) on the side between the airport, hotels and casinos (Kenny @ 662-357-0890).

I stopped at UTA for an Angel Flight relay last Sunday morning. No courtesy cars were available, but the line guys drove me the 2 -3 miles to a local famous restaurant and picked me up after lunch. The lunch was great and the cook even came out to my table to clarify and deliver my order. Fuel was under $ 4.00 and the FBO is in a fantastic building.
