Diverted to Hamilton due to weather, and discovered that Hamilton is a destination, not merely a diversion. Young Ryan is building an RV-7 (I have an RV-8), and I was sincerely disappointed that the weather cleared enough for us to continue our trip to Maine...I was ready to stay. Hamilton is an airport they way you remember airports used to be...Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and welcoming folks. You guys are A-OK! Hey Ryan, If you send me an email address, I'll send you a photo of that Champ (less the gear) with me and my mom posing in front of it. "Does this happen all the time?" asked my mom?

VGC is a nice airport in a lovely setting. Car Rental service from nearby Ford dealership was friendly and efficient but a bit expensive.

Diverted to Hamilton after we realized we couldn't make our original destination in our rental timeslot. Lineman came out to park us and was very friendly and helpful. Amenities at FBO are basic but fully adequate. Did not buy gas but was not charged a landing fee.

Ample parking, but it is now BYOTD (TD=tie-down).

We diverted to Hamilton because of weather and were so pleased with the accomodating welcome, and service including the loaning of tie down ropes, a ride to town, service to our stiff nose strut, preheat at departure, and all around pleasantries provided by Lewie and Ryan Peterson. Additionally, airport and lounge were also very nice facilities.

The runway is open and fully operational as of November 2, 2007. The pilot car is still available to pilots or families flying in for local travel. Anyone who needs additional assistance can call 315-824-6681. Thanks!

My wife, daughter and I flew up to visit Colgate University. The folks at the airport couldn't have been nicer. They lent us the courtesy car for the short drive to the college. When we returned home, my daughter's cell phone was missing. We called them up and they found it in the courtesy car and shipped it to us. Thank you very much!

Flew in on 4/22/06 with an Archer from KFRG. Very friendly and helpful staff. Got fueled right away. The posted price of avgas on AirNav is correct. No fee for parking. I was offered the courtesy car to go to lunch and take my kid to Morrisville campus approximately 8 miles away. Very pleasant experience. I'm looking forward to visiting again.

Ended up diverting to Hamilton for weather this weekend. Staff was very courteous and accommodating during what ended up being a 3-day stay waiting for the weather to clear up. Nice airport, good facilities, good fuel service and price. Overall a great stop. I will definitely stop here again. Lounge has satellite TV and comfortable seating.
