Plans to come to Ashland were cancelled at the last minute, but our pre-trip planning was strongly supported by the staff at Skinner Aviation, and I want to thank them for that. They have good connections with the shuttle service to arrange in advance or can coordinate with Enterprise for a rental car pick-up if you arrive on Sunday when Enterprise's office is closed. We look forward to a future trip to Ashland and will definitely use Skinner's office to make our ground transportation arrangements.

Stopped at Ashland for a long weekend. The people at Skinner were great and extremely helpful. It's hard to get a cab to show up at the airport and after a long wait we got a ride from the airport to town with a very nice lady from Skinner. They were a great help too when we needed a mechanic on Sunday. I can't thank them enough for the great service. A great FBO!!! Watch out for towers on the final. Transient parking is marked with signs on the taxiway and on the fence behind the parking.

No good place to park for a King Air. Ladies at the desk could care less that we were there. Getting them to help with a rental car was difficult. Going to Medford next time.

Great little town and a nice airstrip. Note that transient parking is SOUTH of the terminal building. There's a little sign between the taxiway and the runway pointing to transient parking, but otherwise no markings or directions on the taxiways or tie downs, nor line personnel to let you know where to park. I had to hunt up a ladder from a fuel truck for self-serve fuel, but at least there was a ladder. Maybe it was an off-morning, but I noticed unusually poor and, in one case, complete lack of radio communications among radio-equipped aircraft operating in the pattern. Must have been all of that mead the night before. Keep your eyes open!
