Didn't want to eat at the airstrip motel's buffet so we walked across the street to Ekhards. It was a Saturday night and the hostess looked shocked when we told her we did not have a reservation. She found a table for us squeezed in the aisle next to an employee only door. The service was excellent. The food was great. Soft shell crabs were the best. The warm apple strudel a la mode was terrific. Well worth the walk and the table location turned out not to be too bad. The place got packed.

Great Italian/German restaurant just across the street from the airport (and ditto the comment below about the Jagerschnitzel!). Closest parking is at the approach end of Rwy 1, on the East side. Looks like that must have been built since the photo currently on the AirNav page. Hours are now 4:30-9:00 W-Sat, and 12-9 on Sun. Entrees are $15-$26.
