Landed there on June 25, 2024 at approximately 1830. It was an unusually busy time in sweltering sun and heat conditions. I wanted to leave very early the next morning so they were able to tie down the plane and refueled it almost immediately. They coordinated a hotel stay at the "pilot" rate at the Auburn hotel, which was excellent. Since it was later they gave me the crew car for the overnight. Great line crew and super friendly.

This is a great airport to visit when you need a stop. They have the Pilot House Restaurant in the terminal, with outstanding barbeque and sandwiches while you watch the planes coming and going. It is a Class D but the Air Traffic Controllers are some of the nicest and most patient professionals you will have the pleasure of working with. The airport is very well maintained, lots of services available including a fixed wing school (Skybound) and a Helicopter/Gyroplane flight instruction and Robinson Service Center (Cape Copters). The FBO (Cape Aviation) has a nice lounge and pilot services, a courtesy car and there are lots of great restaurants and hotels nearby. Everyone here is very helpful and friendly.
