Flew in with my Bonanza and couldn't be more pleased with FlyUSA. Beth got us a fantastic rate on a rental car. This airport is the closest to the beach and is truly a hidden gem. Easy in/out with Tampa approach. We are losing too many airports like this to developers, just glad they haven't managed to get their mitts on this one. 5 Stars all the way!

Flew in to pick up passenger. Was greeted on Unicom when taxiing and directed to parking spot. Personnel were friendly and asked as to our needs for fuel. I informed that we were just picking up passenger and luggage and did not need fuel. We were offered water. Very pleasant experience and no fees charged.

If you land at this airport, be prepared to give them all your information: Tail number, name, phone number, email address and your credit card information. Then expect to pay a "tiedown fee" of $15 plus tax even if you are just dropping off a passenger or two. We dropped off a rescued Momma dog and her eight pups from a kill-shelter in northern Alabama. Since I really did not need a "tiedown" and this was a volunteer effort, I asked if they would be willing to waive the fee. They refused. Admittedly, the $16.04 they billed to my credit card was peanuts compared to the several hundred dollars it cost to fly the plane round trip from AL but it bothered me that they were unwilling to support our volunteer rescue efforts and billed me for 15 minutes sitting on the ramp. They did say if I bought 15 gallons of fuel, they would waive the $15 fee. But at $7.59/gal ($2 more per gallon than my home airport) I just paid the fee. I do not think I will be returning to this airport.
