Sharp County Regional was ready and welcoming for all of the eclipse watchers. They had a ground boss with golf carts to follow and ferry you from and to your plane. The skies were CAVU and they marshalled 40 aircraft and one NetJets type jet aircraft with ease as though they do this every week. Thanks to all for the great job and the low price fuel.

I made an unexpected landing late on a Friday afternoon and was AOG. The FBO was closed, but had an excellent arrangement for pilots who need services after hours. A keypad on the door with instructions on how to access the FBO...And inside you have access to a Courtesy Car. I was fortunate to get access to the courtesy car to find a hotel in town. The next morning I was back at the airport and ran into several owners at their hangars who dropped everything to help me with my maintenance issue. They were able to contact the Owner of the Maintenance shop located on the field to help get me on my way. I want to thank Victor, Neal, Jeff and Larry (Maint. Shop owner) for your support and generosity helping me get back in the air! Small town airports are an integral part of the aviation eco system in our country, and it's visiting airports like Sharp County (KCVK) that make cross county flights and the experience of flying very rewarding!
