Flew to KEVB for dinner at adjacent Lost Lagoon restaurant. Despite parking in front of Epic Flight Academy, Airgate representative intercepted us and insisted on $15 ramp fee. For a two hour stopover with no service provided that amount is inappropriate. I like the Lost Lagoon, but not enough to accept that penalty. However, Airgate closes at 6P...............Just saying.

Joe Zitzka, the onsite owner of Airgate and a recovered tax lawyer, is a pilot's pilot, and makes refueling at this FBO a learning and enjoyable experience. He owns a small fleet of airplanes but mostly flies a Super King Air 200, has a wealth of experience flying domestically in the Bahamas and domestically that he is more than willing to share, and charges only $5.67/gallon for Avgas. KEVB is a recently upgraded gem of an airport, with a flight school that can make the pattern a little busy at times.
