Great self serve fuel stop at a reasonable price. Excellent restaurant on the field serving lunch and dinner. Great tower folks handling loads of flight school aircraft. Got me in and out as quickly as possible.

Piper Archer, stayed on ramp from Dec 19 through Jan 6, bought fuel. Previous year was first time on Flagler ramp, similar stay time/dates, charged 1 month tie down, they told me up front and made perfect sense. This year as I'm getting ready to depart it was "No, that will be two months tie down since you crossed over the calendar month." I was puzzled and tried to explain last year they didn't charge that way but was pretty much shut down with "I've been here for twenty years and it's always been like that." Not worth arguing over. After the previous year, I had very positive views of FIN and shared with other pilots. Maybe not as much anymore. N8097P J Emery

Tower did a great job despite some recent communication equipment challenges. Superior attitudes from the staff at Hijackers. The seafood was fresh, the hush puppies were perfect, and the chicken caesar wrap was massive and tasty. When I asked the FBO what I owed them for solving a minor headset problem, they answered "a smile". Great experience all around and I look forward to doing it again soon.

Took a couple of friends to Flagler Executive about a week ago for a lunch flight. Food was very good at Hijackers. Ordered fuel when we arrived and it was done while we had lunch. When paying the bill afterwards, realized they had charged me the self-serve price. They said it was because the self-serve pump was down. The tower even wished us a "good flight and see you next time". Everything about the airport, and restaurant was a good experience.

A plane belonging to a flight school I work for in another town had an aircraft land with a flat tire. The aircraft sat on a taxiway while I loaded another plane with tools and supplies to fly down and change the tire. A man at the FBO called my boss demanding a $150 fee for him to stay late, stating that if it wasn't paid "we're going to have a problem." He didn't help us, didn't move the plane from the taxiway to a parking spot, and was in no way involved in the process of getting the plane out of the way and back in the air. Had this happened an hour later when he went home, there would have been no fee, because he would have had no idea anything was happening. I didn't speak to him personally, but I was told he was a real jerk (using a nicer word than was told to me) on the phone. I can't believe the need some people feel to rip others off.
