Had the car ready. Helped us load up luggage. Hangared the plane. Gas prices were a little higher than listed. Ice cream was good. Airport restaurant was very good and for pilots and passengers its only $8. Great couple of days.

Visiting family in the Biloxi area. Hats off to Southern Sky Aviation. I chose this field for the approaches available; hangar space; and fuel availability. First contact was Christy Taranto (CSR @Southern Sky Aviation). She was polite and incredibly efficient. Set up a rental car and a hangar for me; answering all my questions. Arriving, I got to meet Christy and everything was ready as promised. Chris and Hayden refueled my airplane and tucked it into a hangar for our stay. They exercised proper care in handling, and tolerated my direct supervision and endless guidance. Heading home, we met Tim who set up the FBO. My wife and I enjoyed talking with him and learning more about the airport and the events it has planned for the fall. What a great group of folks down here.

Stopped in to drop someone off & fuel up. A very pretty young lady, Christy, handled our order. Very nice facility & friendly staff.

On April 10, 2022, the self-serve fuel pump was down. The Southern Sky FBO normally closes at 5:00 pm on Sundays. We taxied in close to 7:00 pm. The line guys were still there, refueled us from the truck, at the self-serve price, and towed us to a parking space on a full ramp. All of this with a smile and an attitude of "what else can I do to help". I would call that above and beyond.

Southern Sky Aviation is the new FBO at Trent Lott airport. They are remodeling the facilities, adding a pilot's lounge and updating common areas with more comfortable seating. When we arrived on a Saturday afternoon service was great. We were guided to our tiedown by a lineman who then delivered our rent car direct to the plane. The FBO has reduced overnight tiedown fees from $30 to $20. They will waive the first night with a minimum 10-gallon fuel purchase. The airport closed the main 17/35 runway to allow resurfacing and renovation. A big lighted "X" was at each runway end. They were using the taxiway as an alternative runway. I found the related NOTAM to be confusing, referring to a gross weight restriction when, in fact, the runway was closed!
