As of September 2025, I have been based at Tampa North Aero Park (X39) for one year. My impressions are: - Angela (the Administrator) keeps things running smoothly. Communication and invoices run smoothly. - Keith (The Manager and A&P) and his maintenance team (Daniel, Sebastian) have been easy to work with and have helped me spot small problems BEFORE they became LARGE ones. - Laurie (Café manager) runs the Happy Hangar Café which has an excellent menu for breakfast and lunch. Sometimes on Sundays, reservations are required. - Compared to the T-hangar that I rented at Clearwater Airpark for over 20 years, the hangar at X39 is SUBSTANTIALLY BETTER . . . An electric bi-fold door (vs. Manual roller doors), epoxy (vs. Concrete) floors, overhead fan and extensive LED lighting (vs. Fluorescents). - Fuel is also cheaper than KCLW. I'm happy I "made the move" – even if I have to drive a bit farther.

I have been hangared at X39 since September 2024, so I'm a relatively 'new guy' at the airport. In December I brought my plane to the maintenance shop for the first time. They changed the oil from Mineral (break-in) to ashless dispersant, cut open the oil filter, activated the electronics on my SureFly magneto and correctly diagnosed/repaired an intake gasket leak on the #1 cylinder. Keith and his team were easy to work with. If you stop by, schedule your arrival for breakfast or lunch at the Happy Hangar Cafe. I've been making it a point to try EVERYTHING on the menu, and so far, everything's been great! I would change my rating from "Good" to "Excellent" once the runway is resurfaced.
