Yesterday I went to Allen Parish its a small quiet airport, with the cheapest fuel price in the area. The manager of the self service is really amazing he provided us with a place to stay in the airport, a ride to eat something and he always looks out for our needs.. I highly recommend this place..

Stopped in around noon. Nobody around, but we didn't call in advance either. Fuel is self-service, but we didn't need any. The FBO was open so we could use the facilities, but we had absolutely no cell phone service (Verizon). Good thing we could depart VFR and pick up our IFR clearance since we couldn't reach approach from the ground and the Remote Communications Outlet (RCO) didn't seem to work properly.

Dropped in on a flight from SEA to ATL. Nice place, very cheap fuel (or as good as it gets, ha, ha). Very quiet, we were the only ones on the ramp, but met the airport manager's family. Great quick fuel stop.
