Nice enough place. The FBO office is typical small town, but it is neat and clean and attended full time. I had trouble getting the fuel hose to NOT retract so after 6 or 7 attempts I finally made my wife stand on top of the hose to prevent it from retracting. Maybe there is a trick I don't know.

Good signage and User Comments on AirNav.Com were useful in noting that one must wait for about 90 seconds of inactivity of the fuel pump before it will shutoff automatically and dispense a receipt. Everything worked well and I found a prop/governor shop on the field where I will likely have my prop hub Eddy Current inspection completed next time it is due.

Good fuel stop with excellent facilities and service. The self-service pump works well but you must wait for the pump to shutoff after a few minutes of inactivity.

I stopped at Akron for fuel on my way to Oshkosh on 7/21 and could not have been happier. Perfect fuel stop in every way. Good self-serve pumps and price as advertised.

I've refueled at Akron several times during long cross-country trips. The FBO is always open and the greeting warm during attended hours. The self-service pump works well, but be advised that there is no shut-off switch. It simply shuts off after a few minutes with no fuel flow. This time we had to stay overnight. The courtesy car was generously offered as well as advice regarding the local motel. I will continue to give them my business!

Great place to stop on a trans continental jaunt, crew car, reasonable fuel and very close accommodations. Do be ware, if the wind is out of the east the feed lots makes for a fragrant visit...

Stopped in today for the lowest-priced 100LL self-serve in the area. The pump worked, and the FBO building is neat as a pin with inexpensive snacks from the vending machine. Do be aware of two caveats: a) the LCD screen on the card reader at the pump is weather-worn, so a shade of some sort might be needed to read it; b) I couldn't find a regular shut-off switch on the pump, only the mandated EMERGENCY cut-off. Not to worry however; after a two or three minute period of inactivity, the pump shuts itself off and immediately dispenses your receipt if you had requested one. All in all, a very nice operation worth visiting.
