I've been in and out of BFL and Lloyds a couple of times a month for over a year. They deliver consistently excellent service. The rental car is always pulled up and ready to go, the airplane is always fueled and ready for departure, and the one time I needed maintenance support their shop got right on it and had me taken care of in very short order at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Super!! Called the evening before to arrange parking for 2 hour stay in Bakersfield. Office was closed but answering service connected me with line crew, they took information, gave me instructions and assured me a crew care would be available. Much to my pleasant surprise when I radioed from 10 miles out the person had my information and assured me everything was in order. I was met at ramp by line crew, escorted to a clean comfortable crew car and was on my way within 15 minutes of touchdown. A super no hassle experience, Bakersfield can by very proud of this excellent FBO, other GA airports should be so lucky.

Great service. I had a hard time finding their temporary location and actually strayed into the "forbidden" international zone (prompting a visit by a bored airport police officer). But they kept my 172 under the shade shelter and rolled out the red carpet for me.

It just doesn't get any better. REALLY. I fly a Mooney on business trips 4-6 times per month, and nowhere have I ever received this kind of service. There are fancier places, but if you want effortless travel and an inborn commitment to customer service, this IS the place. Do you travel to Bakersfield? Call Loyd's and tell them you need a hotel and car and a shady spot to park your baby, and then just show up. You'll see what I mean.

I was absolutely delighted with the help I received at Loyd's. They met my plane, promptly assessed my needs, fueled me up, parked me for the night (in the shaded area, no less!), and helped me find a hotel (with a shuttle). In addition, they were VERY helpful with local flying input (I am from Oregon, and had heard some scary stories about Tehachapi pass...). Overall, an excellent experience - I certainly plan to return.

Fantastic service! 2nd time I've been to this field, and the 1st time I went to Mercury. What a mistake, I should have gone to Loyd's 1st. It's a bit hard to find, but worth it. With a prior call, Loyd's had a crew car ready for me at the ramp and the line guys were excellent. Not to mention that the fuel price was over $1 less than Mercury next door. Highly recommended.

Spent the night and Loyd's was wonderful. Tony met our Mooney, and placed a red carpet on the ground for us; carried our luggage to the office. The next morning, I was surprised to see our aircraft sheltered in the shade hangars. This is a wonderful stop. They treated us like family.

I had a landing gear problem in my C340, Lloyd's Aviation went out of their way to accomodate my problem immediately. They were extremely knowledgeable and handled the problem in a very professional way. I felt extremely grateful. But when I went to pay for the services they told me that they are not charging me since it did not take much time to fix the problem. This is unheard of. Thank You so much Lloyd's Aviation.

I would like to give my highest recommendation to the staff at Loyd's. I called up last Thursday afternoon to arrange a heated hangar spot for my Cherokee for Friday night, as the temps were forecast to be in the teens, and I don't have an engine heater. The young man assured me that hangar space would be waiting for me. When I arrived on Friday, I was met by a lineman in the cart and shut down on their ramp. The linemen were very friendly and took my fuel and oil order and tugged my plane to the hangar right away. The lineman offered us a ride to our hotel in downtown Bakersfield, which we gratefully accepted. The next morning, a lineman was waiting to let us in the gate and they were just tugging my plane out of the hangar. I was on my way within minutes. All this for a regular guy flying a Cherokee. Forget the other FBO on the field. Loyd's is the place for the best customer service I've ever had from an FBO.

Prior to our overnight trip yesterday to BFL, I checked this site and found great comments about Loyd's, so I phoned and arranged with Allison for a rental car. We arrived, received personal attention from Kyle, the car was waiting with contract ready to go. Nice facilities, free snacks, fuel more than $1 per gallon less that next door FBO. Today we received the same good service on departure, full service fill-up, windshield got washed, airplane was pulled out from shaded covered parking. What more could you want? USE LOYD'S!!!

Loyd's itself is great FBO and rendered terrific service. I would not recommend, however, having them arrange a rental a car from Enterprise. Calls to the agency did not resolve a $100 overcharge. But Loyd's did help unscramble the mess that appears to have been dishonesty.

This is one of the great service FBOs. Nice people, they were fueling the plane up before we were inside the building. Really above and beyond. Worth stopping at BFL for these guys.

Just great people! On the hottest day of the year, they were $1.00 cheaper than their competition on Jet A, plenty of ice; just look for them, this Lear was treated like a G-5!

We had a great experience with Loyd's. Allison is on the ball and took great care of us and line service was prompt, professional, and courteous. We saved over a dollar per gallon on our fuel price and had outstanding service. The facilities are not as nice as the competitor but they are working on that from my understanding. We'll definitely be back!

Wow. This is service like you only see in the Midwest. I visited BFL over Memorial Day weekend. I had called Loyd's and spoke to Allison a month earlier to arrange a rental car. It was waiting 50 feet from my parking place and the contract was ready to sign. No waiting around. Prompt line service and nice people. I had round trip fuel on board but topped off anyway just to support an FBO that provides such great service.

I have been to Loyd's twice this year - both times great service and friendly staff. Nice pilot's area - wireless, weather, and snacks. Nothing flashy, but everything you need is there.

Nothing flashy, but a nice facility. Previous comment had it right, when you enter the ramp off A6, you won't see Loyd's initially...All you'll see is Mercury. But keep taxiing back (keep Mercury on your right) and soon you will see the big "Loyd's Transient Parking" Sign. There is free wireless access in Loyd's terminal building.

About all I can add is to "second" everyone else's outstanding remarks about Loyd's. Weather was well below IFR minimums when I intended to depart, so I got to know these people real well! They let me use their own computer, so I could get onto the internet, and that was really helpful. When I was ready to depart, they kept checking with me to see if there was anything else they could do. The line guys are enthusiastic and eager to help. When you turn onto the turnoff for Loyd's, you may not see Loyd's at first. Just keep going until you see their sign, "Loyd's Transient Parking."
