What a pleasant surprise! On the way back from S&F 04/13/24 we were treated to a free meal of BBQ, slaw, & beans for topping off. Apparently this is an annual ritual the entire week of S&F. Would have stopped on the way down if I had known. Good fuel price.

Stopped at Baxley Air twice yesterday as the mid point of a trip into North Georgia and back. On the return trip, we were ferrying another aircraft back and had issues restarting it. The FBO manager, Van helped us out and arranged for a local mechanic Greg Harless of Harless Aviation to assist us. Within the hour, the problem was solved and allowed us to continue the trip rather than abandon the plane and have to return. We stopped there both ways due to coincidence of being the halfway point, but we will make a point to visit more often. Very friendly people all around, excellent FBO, and very reasonable fuel prices. Long runway and excellent approaches. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thanks!
