While en route to Yellowstone our C-210 suffered minor electrical problem. Attendants helped us find a rental car, let us use the courtesy car, repaired our 210, and even arranged a shuttle back from Lincoln NE. I can't say enough how helpful the personnel were to us when we needed it!

Beatrice is definitely one the cleanest, well run, and especially well staffed airports I have encountered. My thanks go out to Chuck, Mike, and Diana for going above and beyond the call of duty when recently weathered in at KBIE. Dealing with these great folks makes it a pleasure to be part of the flying community. If you want to have a good old-fashioned small town reception, be sure to put Beatrice on your flight plan. To top things off, fuel prices are one of the best around :-))

Beatrice is one of my favorite airports. Diana Smith and her staff provide excellent, highly personalized and friendly service. This may just be one of the best-run airports in the country. I will go out of my way to visit again.

Truly an outstanding general aviation facility - people, service, town, everything. We were weathered in for a day on a cross-country trip and it couldn't have been at a better location. We'll now put Beatrice on our list as a scheduled stop instead of just an available alternate. Thank you Diana and Chuck - two of the best in the business. This is a real gem for southeast Nebraska.

Beatrice is one of those rare perfect places to stop either for fuel or RON. The lovely and talented airport manager, Diana Smith, was anxious and able to help us with any need we had during our two-night weather delay. The New Victorian Inn is very convenient, inexpensive and even includes a nice breakfast bar. Good stop. We'll be back.

Outstanding! Friendly service, great prices. This is one of our favorite stops!

First of all I note that it is pronounced BEE-AT-TRICE, with the accent on the middle syllable (in case you are not from Nebraska). I agree with all previous comments that this is a very friendly and service oriented airport. We were given a crew car to go to lunch, and we recommend Woody's, just down the road in a strip mall. Could not have been a better choice for a fuel stop.

Super place!! Diverted to BIE due to deteriorating weather. New beautiful building since last time there. Nice break rooms and flight planning room w/computerized weather. Young man who met us offered to wash our windshield, which I thought was a thing of the past...Much appreciated. Also offered to tie down the plane and help find a place for lunch then offered a courtesy car for our use. When it became apparent that we wouldn't get out that day, he put the plane in a hangar ($15) and gave us the courtesy car again for the rest of the day. We stayed at the New Victorian Inn, basic and older, but well kept and a great value at $31 a night. Several decent restaurants near the airport including Playa Azul, a pretty good Mexican place that would be worth a return trip. We hadn't planned on stopping at BIE, but were quite happy we did. Can't say enough good things about the staff at the FBO. We felt like our 60-year-old tail dragger got the same service a Gulfstream 5 would have gotten. Thank You!

What a great airport!!! It is groomed like a golf course. The Service was outstanding and the fuel prices the best in 200 miles. The City of Beatrice goes out of its way to make the pilots happy.

Great stopover! Chuck helped me push the plane to the tie-down and assisted in getting the cabin cover installed. Loaned me a crew car to go to the hotel. Oh yeah, good fuel prices too. BIE is always a great place to refuel or RON.

15 Jul 2006 - Stopped on long cross-country from Baltimore to Colorado. Great airport with immaculate FBO, runways, lights, great fuel prices. Chuck cleaned the windows while I refueled at the self-serve. Would definitely return. Thanks Chuck.

Outstanding stop. Great facilities, outstanding attitudes. This is our new SAF to OSH fuel stop. Self serve island well located and works well, facilities are roomy and clean. Even the courtesy cars are nice.

From David MacNeil on 17-Jul-2006
The city run FBO and airport is a model and an example of how to properly run and manage an airport! The facility is spotless, the airport is spotless. The grass was manicured. There were two courtesy cars waiting and without delay we were off for lunch. We were in a Bonanza, however the service and facilities were as good as the best we encounter when flying our Citation. Easy in and out and is a great cross-country stop for cheap fuel, both jet and 100LL. We will be back!

From Jack Shelton on 11-Jul-2006
We stopped at 10 p.M. To find the fuel island brightly lit, easily accessible, and easy to use. Fuel was $3.44/gallon, the least expensive on our trip. We'd planned to stop by on the way home during actual business hours but got chased away by weather. We'll try again!

From Marcus Williams on 09-Jul-2006
Very helpful, friendly staff, excellent facility and a good airport. I'll definitely be back.

As a student pilot, one of the things that makes learning easier is a helpful staff at your home base. Diana and all the employees at BIE have gone out of their way to make my learning experience a pleasant one, and I am always looking forward to stopping in and saying hello.

Great FBO (clean, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly). Pointed me to "Cafe 77" a very short walk away for lunch. Prime rib, shrimp cocktail, dessert, and more for $7.40! (And good! Also open for breakfast. Packed with the after-Church crowd.) Airfield in great shape. Beatrice ROCKS!

From Mark Smith on 23-Dec-2005
One of the best places in the US to stop for fuel. Wifi in the lobby, cheap fuel, great service and a car to borrow to grab some food. And two long runways to deal with any wind. All good!

From Larry Larkin Jr on 09-Oct-2005
Landed at KBIE on both 10/07/05 and 10/09/05. Fuel prices were as advertised, service was excellent, facilities were very clean. I will stop there services again!
