Now let us get serious..... Harral did not cause anybody any mental anguish.... Also the loss of money must surely be very minimal, but he truly tarnishes the reputation of an excellent FBO. BMG is such a pleasant and efficient and friendly and accommodating place that I will go there just because they are there.....

Landed at Bloomington for fuel, dinner and a quick tour of the University. We were met on the ramp and marshaled to parking. The staff was cheerful and quick to offer the crew car plus dining suggestions and directions. I would recommend this FBO to anyone stopping at KBMG.

Bob Burke is a real good guy!!! I called there this morning asking about getting my battery replaced and he had one in stock. I flew up there and they had my new battery installed within an hour!! He was very helpful and very cheap! Thanks Bob!!

From Vaughn Harral on 02-Jan-2009
Wow, I have never had this experience before! I called BMG Aviation earlier in the day to check fuel prices and availability. Bob answered and said he did not know the fuel price but said they had just lowered it. I told him I would be arriving later that day. Before departing KBED I checked AirNav and found Cook Aviation had much cheaper prices. When I pulled in three, I immediately got a call on my cell phone. I guess it was Bob, who said, "I just wanted to call and let you know what an inconsiderate SOB you are. I just had three guys out on the ramp to meet you and you went to Cook instead". I don't know about BMG, but I sure learned about Bob!

Response from Bob Burke, BMG Aviation
Mr. Harral called us before we opened that morning to let us know that he would be arriving between noon and 12:30. As an owner operator we strive to give the best possible service around the clock as calls are forwarded to my home when we are closed. I did tell him I wasn't sure of our posted price but I do know my cost; so I gave him a price 65 cents cheaper per gallon than posted! He then ordered a power cart and said he would see us later. When Mr. Harral arrived @ 4:30! me and two guys from the maintenance shop were waiting on the ramp with the fuel truck and the power cart. Mr. Harral taxied right past us and ignored us on his way by. What a slap in the face. Three of us were working on customers' airplanes and dropped everything to tend to his needs. Needs that he ordered. Common courtesy would dictate a phone call to us for a change in plans. We are the victims here, as Mr. Harral has cost us money, mental anguish, and is working to tarnish our reputation.

What a great FBO! We stopped in at BMG and took on ~35 gal. They were very friendly and gave us the courtesy car to get dinner. I recommend Penn Station for Lunch or dinner- the Philly cheese steak sandwich there is awesome. When we brought the car back they were so laid back and so kind to look the courtesy car the next day for my friend's phone she misplaced.

We recently spent 3 weeks in Bloomington, purchasing an aircraft with Bob Burke as broker. It was a great experience all around. BMG Aviation's operation is professional and comprehensive. We recommend them highly, for FBO services, flight training, supplies, fuel, repairs - whatever you need.

Everything positive that has been written is true--and then some. This was one of the true highlights of a 3200nm XC trip. We met Buddy the FBO Beagle. Great dog. Service is otherworldly and BMG Aviation EPITOMIZES everything great and friendly about General Aviation.

From Rolf Scholz on 18-Nov-2007
I have been using the services of BMG Aviation for years. They are a great FBO with full services, incl. A shop and flight instruction/rental planes, and their staff are very friendly and helpful. They go out of the way to help people, and the coffee is great, too!

From John Hoffman on 11-Nov-2007
Stopped early evening on 10/31 for fuel and dinner. Fuel was exactly as guaranteed and courtesy car was outstanding. Great stop.

From James Baum on 07-Nov-2007
This was a perfect stop. The airport has everything you need (long RW, multiple approaches, approach lighting) and BMG was very helpful. Bob owns and runs the place and you definitely know you are dealing with someone who cares about his customers. I bought fuel and a pre-heat from him on my way back to the Boston area in my P210 and had nothing but a very positive experience.

From Nicholas Gill on 31-Oct-2007
On our flight back to Atlanta from Minnesota we lost all the hydraulic fluid from the gear system on our 210 having rebuild the plane myself I was able to fix the problem and used engine oil to get the gear down. This was our planed stop for fuel due to the great price 3.55$ a gallon. I thought I would be spending the night there to await a mechanic on Monday to my surprise Bob was there to come to the rescue within 3hr. We got the system flushed refilled, swung the gear on jacks, oil put in out nose strut, toped of, and on our way to Atlanta. Thanks Bob once again great service.

Stopped at BMG on my way from Texas to Toronto. WX then kept me here for some time. I picked BMG due to their ad in the AOPA book and must say it's everything they claim and more. This is one place I wouldn't worry if I had to abandon my aircraft at and fly home commercial. Never seen an FBO like it in the US, Canada or Europe.

From Carol Comer on 31-Jul-2007
Great FBO. Wouldn't think of stopping anywhere else on my way to and from Oshkosh. Fast friendly service. Great fuel prices. Thanks!

From Claude "Sandy" Thomas on 31-Jul-2007
Bob and his team dropped everything when my alternator broke a lead, and got me back in the air for the last leg to Atlanta from Oshkosh. Thanks!

From Curtis Phillips on 25-Jul-2007
BMG is an FBO at which I would stop even if it were out of my way. Excellent service and very competitive fuel prices. They loaned us a crew car, were friendly and we save money on our fuel purchase. Plan to go here.

From James Hunt on 07-May-2007
Bob Burke and BMG Aviation are outstanding. I landed there in my T-34 and it became apparent I would be staying overnight due to weather. They hangared my plane, gave me a car, an on airport house (yes . . . A house), all for a small fee that was tiny compared to what I got in return. They were professional, knowledgeable and provided a great experience! Thank you BMG!

From Rick Mehrlich on 15-Mar-2007
I just happened to be in the FBO when BMG blocked this guy's airplane from leaving and as it turns out, the owner of this airplane owes BMG in excess of $27, 000 for maintenance over a year ago. Too bad the owner didn't alert his pilot. I heard BMG apologize over and over to the passengers and offer to get them home to Indianapolis. I think their fright came from their charter. Bad things happen to crooks!

From Bryon C Wetzler on 31-Dec-2006
Stopped in here on Dec 19 headed back from Kansas to escape some weather after purchasing a new airplane. I called these people up in the afternoon for a recommendation for a place to stay, and they had a very nice apartment right on the field. Their fuel was inexpensive, their service was well beyond exceptional, and the apartment went way beyond expectations for a price below any decent hotel chain. And you can taxi and park right in front of your room. As far as the service that BMG supplied I can't say enough it was superior. The comment about the rental car is not justified, as they have a crew car available that they let us use. Enterprise is that way everywhere, we always have to wait for them.

From Jason Ryder on 22-Dec-2006
Stopped in on our way over from Bangor in our Premier Jet. Called them inbound on their frequency, arrived; fuel truck was unwinding hoses as we were still getting out of plane. The guys had two hoses going, one for each wing.. A1 service and the best price on JET A around.. We will be telling all our charter buddies re this stop.. Keep it up guys, As for the previous complaint re the hire car.... Take it out on Enterprise buddy! Wouldn't be the first time we've been stuffed around by them.
