Stopped through here on the way back from Mexico in Lear 35. Customs here was the most professional and courteous staff I have yet experienced--and fast. Fuel truck came up right as we shut down and after clearing had us fueled in no time flat. Payment was fast and easy right at the truck. We were not on ground more than 20 minutes including clearing customs. Will stop here again.

I had the identical experience as Fred Bursch has described below. In addition to emailing them several days before my arrival, I called on the Unicom while on initial approach to BRO to let Pan AM know I was inbound to their FBO. There was no one on the ramp (even though the FBO was open and staffed), and I had to park myself (thank goodness I brought my own tow-bar!). The FBO does not have a computer with Internet access and their fuel (100LL) price is $4.46/gal. I will definitely be looking for an alternate FBO the next time I come to South Padre Island.
