Andy and Kevin at Metro are great - first-rate service! Hangar space is available in winter ($50 first night, $35/night thereafter) with electricity, but bring your own extension cord.

23 Jan our arrival in a Cessna 182 was handled efficiently at this low traffic airport. No special approvals are needed at this joint use field. The line person was the most helpful that I have experienced in many years. We called ahead for a hangar ($50/night) and when we arrived taxied directly to the hangar where our Enterprise rental car was waiting in the hangar. Only problem were that temperatures were in the teens and the hangar was not heated and no engine preheat was available. I'll be back in the summer.

Arrived in a Pilatus PC-12/45 on 10/13 and departed on 10/17 and had great service from the delivery of rental autos to the hangar, fuel service, out/in to hangar and access to the airfield. Kudos to all! We shall return.

Visited on Oct. 11th to go to the Basketball Hall of Fame. Called about 15 minutes out on 123.0 for a taxi, and it was pulling up as we were shutting down. Blu did a great job taking care of us. As others have mentioned, it's an easy field to get into and out of. And where else can you see two C-5's flying in the pattern!

We were in a bind for a rental car on short notice and Metro came through when others failed (thanks guys)! The service is prompt and very friendly. Don't be intimidated by the joint civilian-military ops, this field is easily accessible to GA and the tower is quite hospitable. The landing fee is waived with fuel purchase but there is a $5 ramp fee. Overall, this FBO and field are highly recommended.

Flew into this enormous airfield on 5 May, and was very satisfied with the (somewhat deserted) facilities. The staff was friendly and helpful. Landing fees were waived with fuel purchase, but I did pay a $5 ramp fee for my Commander 114B. It's a long taxi to/from the extreme southwest corner of the field, but IFR clearance and release outbound was very fast compared to my home base. Speaking of taxi, if you want one within a half-hour of your arrival you will either need some patience or better call from the air well in advance...

If you are looking for lots of runway with nobody at all in the pattern, this is the place. Tower is very friendly. FBO was good. The "terminal" had nobody in it. Fast, friendly service.

Nothing but great things to say about Metro Air Services. Even though the weather was gusty and raining when we landed, the lineboy was right there. The rental car was brought right to the plane. Tie-down was only $5/night. Returning the car and departing were equally easy. Previous posts are correct - Metro Air Services occupies a small area at the southwest corner of the airport with lots of giant C5s and empty hangers along the taxi route.
