October 13 another DITTO for this airport. It is a great stop on a north < > south run. We were running ahead of schedule on our trip to Florida but still decided to stop here because of the service, people and nice town to stay.

Nice airport with new FBO bldg., with on-line computer. Staff very helpful & friendly.

Well, back again, on an overnight stop at Emporia, heading back up to Cape Cod for the summer. Mel recognized us as soon as we pulled up to the gas pump. He offered us an empty hangar for the night because of the strong storms with hail that was forecasted. Again, called the hotel, helped push the plane into the hangar, loaded our luggage and gave us a car for the night. All free. Asked if we were leaving before hours in the morning so that he would be there to help us get on our way. I can't say enough about this great stop. I highly recommend it, and say hi to Mel!!!

Stopped in on our way from Cape Cod to Winter Haven Fl. Mel greeted us with the southern hospitality that you would expect. Fueled the plane and made a few calls to get us a room for the night. Also furnished us with a staff car to use until the next day. ALL FREE and it was offered without asking. Stop here it is really great; not busy, good gas price and great service!
