Stopped for fuel (100LL) on 2007-12-31. Field mostly deserted for the holiday, but the terminal was open with fine, new facilities--beautiful. The lone gentleman on duty was courteous and helpful and made sure that everything was covered for us. Self-serve fuel was easy to pump with a new LCD controller. Hose retractor is apparently non-functional. No radio contact with FSS or JAX approach available on ground. Cell coverage spotty. Make sure to get your IFR clearance on the landline before you leave the terminal.

Flew in 12/10/07 on a long solo x-country. Everything on the field is in great shape especially the FBO which rivals some of the big names I've been to, they provided me the crew van to use to get something to eat in town which is just down the road and helped me push my plane to the gas pump to top off before I left. Gas pump has an electronic screen to verify your credit card and select exactly how much fuel you want to pump or just top off, looked like a brand new system, very easy to use. Big thanks, well worth the stop.

We stopped at EZM on our trip from New Jersey to Gulf Shores. They have a new terminal building that is awesome! Baxtor helped us with the self service fuel station. Excellent facility, great fuel prices and friendly staff make this an excellent fuel stop anytime you're flying across Georgia!

For Clearance Delivery using the GCO, click the mic 4 times rather slowly. For FSS, click 6 times. Doug Williams provided excellent FBO service including pumping the fuel and provided a courtesy van. Very positive experience this time!

Self-serve pump is old but works OK. Very friendly operations at the FBO. They provided a courtesy car for me to go into town for lunch. BBQ place is about 5 minutes from the airport on the road into town. Highly recommended. Buy the small PECAN PIES in plastic wrap for dessert and gifts when you get home. Everyone who has had one really enjoyed it.

12-29-06 To use the self-fueler, it is necessary to open the sheet metal housing. To turn the pump on, the switch is on the left wall of the unit and not readily seen. Also, the return hose motor switch is on the same wall. The Unicom was not being monitored at the time of our arrival and the GCO appeared to be non-functioning. Fuel price was great! Courtesy van was available.

Saw cheap fuel prices on AirNav and expected the "typical" small county airport FBO. Boy was I wrong! Terrific new facility and great service. Will stop there again.

We stopped on 9/25/06 on our return trip from Pennsylvania to Florida. A "Fantastic" airport! "New terminal building" with new tower to open Jan 1 2007. Pilot briefing room with weather terminals. Full ILS & AWOS. Runway, taxiway's and entire premises are immaculate. Georgia Aviation Tech College is on field and brand new simulator training facilities at the terminal for air traffic controllers. Students of the college were manning the terminal and came out to pump the gas for us.... Really a nice touch! Kudos’ to Michael and Doug for being so pleasant, helpful and willing to go out of their way to assist. Thanks also to the staff setting up the training facility for the personalized tour. Definitely a "must stop", even if only to get fuel & see the state of the art simulators and training facility. Courtesy car also available. Don't pass this one up!!!
