Had a great layover in Sierra Vista for business. Was welcomed by Mark working at the FBO. Great person, very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks Mark...

We were based out of here for close to a week doing a mapping project. Clean, efficient, courteous! New pilot snooze room. Computerized weather and 24-hour access to the terminal. 24-hour fuel service coming soon.

We had an excellent experience at Sierra Vista Airport. Arrived on Sunday afternoon and departed Monday mid day. This is an excellent facility for General Aviation. Fuel price was great - $3.50/gal FS this date - service from FBO - Manager - "IGGY" was outstanding! These folks are very friendly and hospitable. Ground, Tower and ATC folks were all First Class and accommodating to General Aviation which makes the experience of landing/departing a joint use airport with a lot of restricted area easier. God Bless and protect our Troops.

A long time friend of mine flew in today from San Diego after a brief stop at Ryan. Gas at $3.29 for self serve. We had lunch and he asked where our Pilot Quite Room was. I informed him that the Airport Commission was working on that very project as we spoke and that we expected to have it available in the near future. Jim (a retired Delta Pilot) asked if I would send him photos of the finished project. He said that he would spread the word among his pilot friends in San Diego and abroad. A great deal of his pilot buddies fly across the country and look for airports with pilot facilities such as quite rooms when planning their route of flight. He was impressed with the Sierra Vista area.

Came in about a month ago on a Sunday. The tower was closed and ABQ Center handed us off early so we had time to make traffic advisories. We had this entire airport to ourselves! Very nice ramp and large, clean terminal (albeit completely deserted). Too bad there's a complete lack of food (not even a vending machine) and the town is too far away to walk. No courtesy vehicle available either. Fuel price was good and the two folks running the terminal were very very helpful. Great place to stop if you need fuel!

Terrific scenery in all quadrants, FHU has those great runways (and approaches if in the mood, have even been pleased to shoot the PAR in the past), the restricted Airspace is not a significant factor -- just check with FSS for NOTAM's prior, ATIS when close in and work with the Tower, else not a factor if the Tower is closed. Be aware of the tethered blimp south, with the Huachuca’s relatively close to the blimp in that direction regardless. Seen increased UAV traffic in the recent past as well – again, ATIS and NOTAM's. Be sure to use the civilian north side of the airport – and enjoy the scenery if the military is in the pattern. The price of Avgas has always been lower than expected based on the prevailing prices elsewhere. Enjoy, Blue Skies!!

Flown in twice now on business, do not let the restricted airspace deter you, I just got topped off with FS 100LL for $3.15 a gallon when the rest of the country is well over $4.00!!! Ramp seems a little small for anything larger than a CJ. Prompt and courteous aircraft support, great fuel stop!
