My right main tire went flat after during a stop for fuel on a Sunday afternoon. With the help of the lineman/manager and a couple of pilots at the airport, got a new tube (a pilot had to fly to another airport to pick up) and got it replace was on my way in a few hours. Nicest people I have ever met.

Flew in Aug. 6 on a recommendation. We were told they have good hot dogs and homemade ice cream just a block down the road from the airport. We were told correctly. FBO is very nice and service is friendly. Turn left out the FBO, take the first road right, a 1/4-mile, cannot miss it.

Staff friendly and pumps work without problems. Even a pair of gloves to wear when fueling if you want. I think GKJ is my refueling spot!

There is a great place to grab hot dogs and sloppy joes within a three-minute walk from Port Meadville Aiirport -- Eddie's on Lake Road. We didn't leave room for the homemade ice cream at Casey's (across the street) but will on our next trip. My friend found a great pair of earrings at Holbrook's Antiques (on the right at you head to Eddie's). All in all, this was a great place to stop for cheap gas and cheap eats.

Arrived on a holiday and not a soul in sight. However, self-serve pump accepts credit cards and had no problem getting fuel. A friendly EAA'er on the airport offered assistance. Passed through a day later and a gentlemen came in and explained they were doing construction near the runway and asked if we needed any help. A nice terminal area and obviously well run airport. Cheapest fuel on trip. Thanks!

In for the day. Very nice and friendly service. Informed they will call rental car if requested when contacting Unicom. Fuel price great at $3.70, no parking fee for day if fuel purchased. I will be back.

Didn't get any services today on my first solo cross country, but the man on the unicom was EXTREMELY helpful when I couldn't contact Altoona radio... Thanks Again!
