I am writing a review despite not having flown in or out of Hickory. I dropped a rental car off there, then Uber to Fort Hills Regional to get the airplane I needed. But the ladies in the very nice FBO were so pleasant and helpful that I am sure this is a good stop for fuel etc. I thought I'd mention it and highly recommend the stop.

Great airport. Virginia was very nice and accommodating, as we were picking up some rescue dogs. There were some great aircraft at the museum, but it was closed on Sunday so we couldn't check that out.

Great service from the desk and line; help with hotel reservations; overnight use of the crew car; fair pricing...It all made for a great overnight stop on a longer trip. (C210)

Nice people here make HKY a great stop. Called ahead, Pam and Corry arranged rental car and hangar. Corry met us when we arrived, brought car to plane & helped with bags. Amy had lots of helpful local info. When we returned, plane was out, fueled, and ready to go. Missed the names of couple other folks, but plenty of help whenever we needed. Thank you. We'll be back.

Stopped in with a ME Student this weekend. The FBO staff is superb and the fuel cost reasonable. Excellent service. The museum was our 2nd stop - highly motivated & knowledgeable volunteer force of mostly retired military folks. Well worth your time to have a look. Be sure to buy some stuff!

Had to turn back from my intended destination of Asheville due to Snow and Icing. I landed in my Cherokee 140, was greeted on the ramp- and everyone from the tower controller to the ladies behind the desk went out of their way to get me a rental car, arrange my tie down and fuel, and get me on my way. I returned the next day- a day earlier than anticipated for my departure- plane was ready to go- no muss, no fuss. I will be back- on purpose next time. :)
