Flew into Iperial on Tuesday. Landed at about 7:30am and was greeted by a line service person (think his name was Gary) with a golf cart offering to help my passengers with their bags and give them a ride to the walk through gate. On the way home today, I had my last passenger show up about 3:15pm and Art saw that my passenger had 2 coolers and a backpack. He proceeded to take the golf cart over, open the walk through gate and give him a ride to our airplane. Great job Art and Imperial Flying Service!!!! On top of the great service, they are very competitive on their fuel prices!!!!!

Haven't flown in yet, but a quick correction regarding the comment from November '06: The military field is a few miles to the WEST of IPL (not east), at least on my map.

Things have really changed since the last user comment. We had a car reserved at Imperial Flying Service and arrived at 3:30 on a Saturday (they never said on the phone that would be an issue). Their sign said they should be open until 4:00 (on Saturday), but no one was there. Someone at the airport said they had left around 1:00. The terminal building was locked tight and apparently there is no longer taxi service. The restaurant at the hotel adjacent has closed and it's a long walk to town. Be careful if you need transportation on the weekends! We opted to fly on to Palm Springs.
