Arrived to get fuel while enroute from Idaho to California. Fuel system was out of order. Pop machine was out of order. Pilot lounge was open with restroom available.

Lovelock continues to be a good stop for fuel; price is right as compared to prevailing prices for AV fuel. Pump and card reader work well; pilots lounge with phone, etc is available, although unattended.

As of Aug. 22 the 100LL pump worked perfectly; price was low as compared to others.

The pump broke and we got no gas. They were working on it when we left. Price was good though and they were very nice and tried their best.

Weather turned bad and landed at Derby for fuel. Price 3.72. Called the first motel (Sturgeons) on the list in the open pilot's lounge, and was told they no longer picked up. Called Cadillac Motel, who not only drove out but also gave us a tour of the town. He said he expected to have not vacancies but said he would find us a room somewhere. Immediately took us back the 10 miles or so when asked the next morning. He also refused a substantial tip. Room was good for the price paid. When in Lovelock, call Cadillac Motel for a room. Nice people such as the owner here (Larry, is the good part of aviation).

I fly regularly to LOL for work - this is a great facility for a small town. The field was previoulsy used by the military and is quite a ways out of town - but both runways are in excellent condition - 7/25 was recently resurfaced. I almost always fuel up while at LOL and have never had a pronlem and the terminal building has always been open.

Stopped in and fueled up with no problems. Was quite pleased that the terminal building was wide open, signed the guestbook, used the restrooms and we were on our way. Never saw a soul around, but enjoyed seeing the Mig-15 up close that was sitting on the ramp.

A great airport this is not. The so-called terminal building, which contains the only toilet facility within 10 miles is securely locked. On Tuesday, there was a phone number (Sheriff's office) posted on the door, and they sent a man out to unlock the door a half-hour after being called. By Sunday, the sign was gone. It's okay for a plane load of guys, but if your wife is with you, land somewhere else.
