They got off to a rough start with the SS fuel but have ironed out the glitches. Seems to work unless NOTAM'ed as unavailable so should not be any surprise inops. No prior permission required as when first installed. I'm thankful to have as option.

I thought I would bring some balance to comments on fueling at LYH. I read previous comments and it was enough to make me reconsider stopping for the otherwise very attractive fuel price. I called the airport authority and asked if their pumps were working. Typical of the bureaucracy -- they had not heard that the fuel pumps were not working, but I decided to stop anyway. I arrived to a pleasant surprise. The pumps were quite modern and if you are familiar with self serve fuel procedures -- you should not have a problem fueling. I turned the Bonanza into a tanker and happily headed northbound.

Stopped in for fuel. Pump did not work. Called number at pump. Man answered said he would check it later. Had to buy the 50% high cost FBO fuel. 3 days later I called as I was returning back home and they advised, "we have had no complaints". I stopped in and once again the pump did not work. I called again and advised them. Once again I had to buy the >$5 FBO gas. ARGH!

Great fuel price, but required 30 min advance notice on GND freq. Check NOTAMS.
