Enterprise WILL deliver a car to the airport for you. The Ford dealer does sometimes have cars available, but Enterprise promises to get a car there waiting for you...Or so they say.

This is a fantastic airport with friendly people and excellent facilities. Highly recommended.

RENTAL CAR Info: The only rental car option at Accomack is Kool's Ford at 757-787-1209. They currently have 4 rental cars (Focus to 500) that start at a daily rate of $52+tax. I called on a fair WX Saturday and they were sold out. They recommend calling ahead and asking for Rick

'Dropped in' for a quick gas and go on the way up the coast from Florida and Sun 'n Fun. Excellent airstrip, airport facilities, 100 LL price (full service at self serve price), and very nice people. We will be back. Thanks for the warm hospitality.

Dropped in on 4/22 to refuel on my way back from Sun 'n Fun. Good fuel prices and very friendly staff. Airport and facilities is top notch. Also, was informed that the GCO is unreliable, so don't count on it to open flight plans.

Runway and terminal are very well maintained. However, you cannot get a cell phone signal for any carrier other than Verizon, and the outdoor pay phone is so rusted that the keys cannot be depressed. This makes calling Flight Service impossible at night. Only a kind passer-by who stopped to loan us his cell phone (the airport road is very very quiet) saved us from a very difficult situation. Also, when you leave the field, one of the gates that have a reentry code does not work (but the other one does).

Stopped in with my wife to spend a night at the Spinning Wheel B&B in nearby Onancock. Excellent airport facilities and competitive fuel prices. Very helpful airport folks. Spinning Wheel provided a free airport pickup and return. Onancock is a small, friendly, waterfront town with many nice restaurants and a great Irish Pub. In the off-season there are fewer restaurant choices Monday-Wednesday.

What a great secret the eastern shore of Virginia continues to be. Fly into MFV and discover the friendliest people, great food, wonderful service and a pace of life that really slows you down. Call ahead if you need a rental car, especially during holiday times. You will meet the friendliest people. Don offered to stay after his 1 PM shift to drive us to Chincoteague Island, that level of service is part of the Eastern Shore culture. Great airport with modern facilities. Getting there is easy...And enjoyable.

Stopped by for fuel on my way to First Flight. They had the best 100LL price in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic area. I wasn't even out of the plane and the gentleman was already setting up to top me off. The airport is clean and modern and the staff is friendly. I just can't figure out why this place is such a well-kept secret. I'll be back anytime I'm in the area.

Stopped enroute from N52 near Charlotte, NC to 1N4 in Woodbine, NJ. Good quick service and reasonable prices. Louis was very helpful. Unfortunately, Missy was off and I missed saying hey to her.

Stopped here twice, on each leg of a round trip in a T-28 flying from PMP-ASH. Quick turn, very pleasant facilities, nice people, friendly airport cat and dog. Great fuel prices as well.
