Stopped on 6 July 2008. This was our first stop at MWL. I'd learned to fly helicopters at Ft. Wolters in 1971 and was anxious to look around town again. The staff at MWL was friendly & helpful in all our requests. The courtesy car was welcome, but I wish I'd known I could have prearranged a rental car. The town looks to be coming back and when the Baker Hotel is restored it will boom again. Everyone at Mineral Wells was professional, helpful and very friendly. We arrived at 6:00 am to leave as the crew there was arriving. They again offered any help and made sure everything was ready for us to leave. I would stop here anytime. They made a great start to our day heading for Arizona.

I flew in the evening before I was scheduled for some service work at Century, and the folks here went out of their way to help me. Quick service, helpful folks, and good full service fuel prices; this is the place to stop.

Stopped in Mineral Wells on a three-leg cross country. Even as a King Air was busy leaving the FBO, I received excellent treatment in a Cessna 150. Fuel prices reasonable, and ramp and runway surfaces are great.

Did an overnight fuel stop, people are great, a courtesy car was provided, fuel price is reasonable (within today's prices), great service overall, will consider it a stop anytime.

Here for a week getting some maintenance and paperwork done. These guys are great. Let me use the courtesy car overnight and went out of there way to make the stay easier. If you like good, old-fashioned customer service, this is your stop!

Very decent GA airport (across the street from S-TEC). FBO offered excellent service on the fueling and they have pilot briefing room, etc. Bathrooms were reasonably clean. Would return.

This is one of the most accommodating airports I have visited in 25-yrs. of flying. Bobby, LaDonna, and all the staff were beyond helpful and generous with the courtesy vehicles as we stayed 3-days to have autopilot repaired at Century. This place exemplifies the best in the "brotherhood of flying". Stayed at Silk Stocking Row B&B and highly recommend, the breakfasts were spectacular! The town may be a little run down but the people everywhere were beyond friendly and gracious to out-of-towners. The bowling alley opened early for us to give us something to do while we waited on the plane...Unbelievable.

Very nice airport and great service. First time at MWL but we were treated as if we were long time customers. I highly recommend this airport.

Great fuel stop. I've refueled here several times in the last 2 years or so and have always been impressed with the prompt, efficient and friendly service. The new surfacing on the runways and ramp is excellent.

I stopped in Mineral Wells on a whim... Wow, what a gorgeous little airport! I wasn't buying anything but everyone I met treated me like a valued long time customer. The new ramp and runway paving is absolutely first class. All the landscaping looked like it had been watered and trimmed the day before. They even have a new ILS... I expect this to be one of the more relaxed places in the DFW area to practice approaches. I will return soon and take the courtesy car into town for breakfast.

Excellent approaches and runways. The most reasonably priced full service fuel that I know of. Great staff.

Flew into MWL to have service at the Century Flight Systems accross from the FBO. Arrived about sunset, and was pleasantly greeted by Anthony (who is an Elvis Presley impersonator.) Anthony gave us the royal welcome, and loaned us the airport courtesy car to go to the Best Western Hotel for the night. The next day when I took my airplane across the field to Century, the FBO picked me up, and again loaned us the courtesy car to go have lunch. The fuel was a bargain at $3.45. Anyway, the folks at MWL made us feel very welcome, and I am looking forward to retuning to this very fine FBO.

I have operated an air taxi out of MWL for over three years now and am pleased with the line crew, price of fuel, etc. However, the difference-maker for me is Weir Aircraft Service next to the FBO---simply the best shop I've ever dealt with, and that includes maintenance of three high performance twins over the last 5 years here and several other aircraft over the last 35 years. Please disregard the negative comments offered by Steve Cooley (see below) who is not a local customer but rather a disgruntled former employee of Weir's shop---taking his parting shot as he walked out of the door.

The ramp I believe is finished, at least the paving looks like it is. The terminal staff are mostly pretty nice here, especially Elvis (Todd). The manager can be very rude and inconsiderate. Mineral Wells is not a bad fuel stop.
