This is a great little airport. Self service fuel and free parking. There is not a lot of room on the ramp to park so I always call ahead and see where they want me. Loc approach into the runway and BOS center will not pick you up below 4000 in that area. Bring your own ropes for tie down, none provided.

Nice sleepy little airport. I have been here several times visiting relatives in OGS. I drive a 172. There are no tie downs so I just chock and lock the plane on the ramp. Nice pilot area with computer and rest rooms. I had trouble contacting Boston Center on 135.25 listed on the approach plate for an IFR clearance airborne. Next time I will try FSS for a clearance. Like mentioned earlier, get the gate code before you leave.

Fuel Price is now $4.28, and there is a new pump system so receipts should not be a problem. There is now also a computer system installed for the use of pilots, 24/7, along with wireless Internet. When I was there, there was a sign with the gate code on it facing inward near the exit. Just remember to write it down before leaving.

Quiet airport. Minimal parking space on pavement, so we parked in grass east of SS fuel farm (walk the grass area first since there are some depressions). No tie downs on grass or pavement. Bring stakes, rope, chocks etc. If you want them. Airport MGR was there, but don't expect much from him. Fuel price was $4.00 SS as of 8/21/07. No receipt from SS pump though. If you plan to use the airport on weekends, make sure you get the gate code ahead of time to get in and out. Larry Worden at Rent-a-wreck is very helpful. I have not received the bill yet, but as far as service goes, he's exceptional!

It is sad that the landlord decides to keep a guy that does nothing but sleep on the job. For now, the airport could be staffed part time with someone that’s awake. Another problem is that there are computers there that pilots cannot use for weather and flight planning. I knocked on the door to wake the guy up and he did not reply. I thought he was dead so I called the police department. They assured me he was alive and "not bother with him". What’s the point airport operator??
