This is an easy airport to fly in and out of - servicing the Detroit area. The folks at the FBO do an exceptional job. The airport manager (Derek) arranged for hangar space for 3 nights during my visit - and was very accommodating. Very happy with my visit....

I fly here all the time from 1D2 and I must say that this is the place to be! FBO staff will bend over backwards to help you out. Free Crew Car to go to one of the many excellent dining establishments on the island (try the Airport Inn...Best burgers around). All around great airport!

If you are going to Detroit, this is the stop! An easy 20min drive into downtown Detroit. Friendly service, with a traffic pattern that is not busy, makes this a very user-friendly GA stop. Best fuel prices around and it is self-service too! It is a tough approach at night though, coming in over the water. An overnight stay at the Pilot inn is a must!! For all you ex-military types, it is an old fashion BOQ

Flew in from Alabama back in September to visit my brother for a few days and excellent staff now in place. Tied my Cherokee down, fueled her at the self serve price, and had a mechanic pump up a strut over the weekend while there, also for no charge. And when wx kept me there for a couple of extra days, still not one penny for ramp fees. Nice FBO with local guys with great stories, thanks for everything gang and definitely will make you my Detroit FBO! Great job!

Airport Inn pizza. Who would've thought it's that good. A short walk out of the FBO 300' to the right at the light. Really. That's it. That little building with the 5 cars our front.

Stopped here in August 2004. They have a nice "hotel" The Pilot House behind the Navy hanger. You can walk down the street to a pizza joint for dinner. FBO was open, the guy gave me the "local" fuel card so I got the based there price. Office was open and nicely equipped. It was a nice stop on a coast to coast trip. Worth stopping again.
