I have visited this airport occasionally over the years and have always found it to be a pleasant experience. However on my last visit I found it would be helpful if they would clarify their policy on charging landing fees and overnight parking fees. I arrived on 11/27. After asking for 35 gal of 100LL and indicating my plans for parking overnight, the gentleman at the desk indicated that there would be a $15 landing fee and a $75 overnight parking fee. I couldn't believe it and asked him several times to verify that I would be charged these fees even though I purchased gas. He said the landing fee could not be waived and the overnight fee was only waived if I bought 75 gallons of gas. (I was not happy). However on my way out, I was charged only for the gas they put in the plane - no mention or charges for the fees I unpleasantly discovered the day before. I'm not sure what the policy is, but be sure to check before landing there. It would be helpful if they would clarify their policy.

Great place to stop, only a few minutes from Milwaukee. Best line service, courtesy car, and FBO in area. Will stop here every time we are in this area.

Stopped at RAC over the weekend to visit friends. Immediately after landing roll, line service was on the CTAF with directions to the ample parking area. Lineman was on the ramp, helped push back and even tied me down. When ready to leave, the fuel truck beat me to the plane and we topped off with the least expensive fuel in the area. Any ramp fees were waived with the fuel purchase. Only a 20-minute drive to downtown, it's a superb substitute for the much pricier MKE operation up the road. Will definitely visit again.

I have been coming to this airport for a couple of years and it has always been a great airport with a wonderful group of people staffing the FBO. It has until recently been a 24 hour operation. While I appreciate the great service, the airport has decided not to be open 24 hours recently. There is no access to the airport after 7 PM weekends leaving pilots unable to depart unless they arrive before this time. Transients at RONs should be fully aware of this. While I didn't ask, I assume this also applies to fuel purchases. Hopefully airport management will provide some means to access the field after hours soon. Response from David Mann, Vice President & General Manager, Racine Commercial Airport Corp. KRAC has personnel in the office 05:00 - 21:00 Mon - Fri and 07:00 - 19:00. However, we are willing to either be there for assistance if needed and can open the gates remotely from four different employees homes to allow access to the ramp. Just call the posted airport number to request this service or make arrangements on arrival. We will always be happy to help.

Flew in Friday night with a friend in a 172. I had called a couple hours ahead to let them know when I was due in and they had the courtesy car (van) running and warm for us (temp outside was about 12 degrees plus a 17 kt wind). Very friendly staff. Ate at Infusino's, just a short 2 minute drive away. Quick service - in and out in 30 minutes on a BUSY night and the food was good. We'll be back!

I am the manager of a small airport in central KS, a corporate pilot, and I have worked at a top-ranked busy FBO in a large city so trust me when I say that the guys at KRAC know how to give first class service. We came to the area to visit my wife's grandmother in Milwaukee. Rather than pay the insane fees & fuel prices at Signature at KMKE I decided to give Racine a try. These guys bent over backwards to help us out. They had our rental car ready and waiting. I didn't get the little storm window closed before leaving the plane and they tracked me down to find out what I wanted them to do. When I got back to the airport they had created an ingenious little thing to keep the window closed from the outside. To top it off, when we brought grandma out to see the plane, they had a wheel chair handy to help her get around the ramp. Fantastic job guys, see you next time.
