Just a follow-up on my previous review: We finally made our trip to Big Rapids, and the exceptional service at Roben Hood continued. We received a warm welcome, a beautiful, almost brand new Chevy Malibu crew car for use during our overnight stay, and great recommendations for local places to eat. If you are in the area, or need a place to stop on a trip, you will not find better service than at RQB.

What outstanding service! I had called a few days prior and to ask about transportation into town. They reserved their crew car for me for a few hours. Unfortunately when the time came, there was icing aloft that prevented us from going. Before I had a chance to call and cancel the car, I received a call from the FBO letting me know that there had been precipitation the night before that left a thin layer of ice on all surfaces. He said that he was about to go out and spread some urea to help melt it but it would take awhile and he wanted me to be aware. This is a significant safety issue, and had I been able to make the trip I would have called for a runway report on my own, but I have never had an airport call me to let me know about unfavorable conditions. This was an absolutely outstanding action on their part, and I cannot speak highly enough of them and their concern for our safety.
