My recent experience at Russell was NOT GOOD! After confirming ahead by phone with airport personnel Jesse Syler about the price of fuel I told him that I would be there the next day and the day following (TUE & WED) to re-fuel. He assured me he had at least 800gals left at the $4.25 listed price. Tuesday was fine but I was shocked to find out that the city Manager (Arlyn) had raised the prices by $.60 on me by Wednesday AM the very Next day...!!!! I attempted to discuss the apparent bait and switch situation with the Russell city mgr. (Arlyn) but was told if I didn't like it I could go somewhere else! No Kidding. I hope the extra $93.00 was a good value for The City!!!! GpC340a/Colorado....... Unbelievable really 2Xdays=274gals

The FBO Phillip Schulz is no longer on the Russell Airport. The city manager and council ran him off. The Army Aircorp Collection and history is gone. Airport is now just a restroom stop when the building is open. The city wanted to get into the lucrative FBO Business. Thanks to all who landed here in the past.
