Visited Jet Aviation on 11/10/07. Though I didn't need any fuel, I decided to purchase 50 gallons as a courtesy, even though it was nearly $6/gal. The CSR made no mention of the fact that they have a $220 service fee, which is only waived with a minimum purchase of 150 gallons. Conveniently, their "system" was down, and could not give me a receipt at the time, offering only to fax me one later. It wasn't until I received the fax a few days later that I learned of the service fee. Had I known about the fee, I wouldn't have purchased any fuel to begin with. At the very least, had their system been working, I would have told them to put another 100 gallons on at that time in order to waive the fee. The end result: $517 for 50 gallons, or $10.34/gal. Very poor way to conduct business, in my opinion, and I will not be back.

Both approach and tower controllers were great. The people at Jet Aviation were also great and gave us First Class service. First Class service does come with a price. We were only there for 3 hours and did not need gas. We were charged $180.00 service/parking fee. For a Saratoga!! I questioned the charge but was told that was the correct amount.

Visited Jet Aviation on 8/16/06 in a Piper Meridian. Put on 120 gal. Jet-A w/ Prist at $5.54 per gal. No fees. The service is excellent! Everyone is very friendly, helpful, efficient, and know what they are doing. The facilities are top notch, both from a passenger and a pilot point of view. We will definitely be using Jet Aviation every time we visit TEB.

Arrived a couple of days ago in a Robinson R44. The line guys wanted me to land on a dolly so that they would have the flexibility to move the aircraft around. They positioned the dolly so that I would have to put my tail into a gusty 20-25 knot wind. To add a little more challenge, they parked a $5 million business jet right behind the dolly. The Sikorsky S76 heroes who operate here regularly probably could have done what they were asking, though perhaps it wouldn't have been prudent even for them. I exercised my pilot-in-command responsibility to admit incompetence and said that I couldn't do it unless they moved the dolly to a less crowded area of the ramp and also positioned it so that I could land more or less into the wind. Overnight hangar was $175. They had forgotten to top us off as requested, but fueled the helicopter promptly when we were getting ready for departure.

Flew into TEB on New Year's Day to pick up an Angel Flight passenger. Because of weight limitations, I could take only 12 gallons of fuel. I was charged full price of $5.10, plus a $70 service fee, making the total cost per gallon almost $11! ATC routings into and out of TEB are complex and challenging. This is not the place if you are light plane driver looking for a friendly fuel stop.
