Stopped in early August, great prices, beautiful new FBO building, easy access to pump from ramp, local pilots very friendly. Highly recommended.

From Neal Kite on 02-Jul-2008
Stopped in on June 21st and from stopping there from 2 years ago nothing major has changed. Same great fuel prices same great restaurants within walking distance from the airport. Since we had the baby I was offered a courtesy car for a quick run to the Mexican restaurant across the street. Good food and good prices. I will be back again when passing through.

From Joe Young on 29-Jun-2008
Perfect fuel stop. Self-serve fuel prices were excellent. Vanessa graciously offered the courtesy car for a quick run to one of the several fast food restaurants within 5 minutes distance. My family made the food run while I fueled the plane. We were refreshed and back in the air within 30 minutes. Thank you Vanessa and Kennett, MO....We'll be back

From Jeff P. Russell on 23-Apr-2008
Great stop. Excellent facilities and superb self-serve prices! Real friendly people in the maintenance shop to buy oil from. Make this a stop. Great place.

From A.J. Wahlquist on 13-Apr-2008
I love flying into Kennet! The new terminal area is absolutely first class and not a drag to hang around in waiting for passengers to arrive from an all day stay. Golf course is straight across from airport but not sure it's open to public. Cheap fuel, nice people, places to eat, and nice accommodations are what set this airport apart from many small town airports.

From Gary Johnson on 09-Mar-2008
What a great airport! Fuel price is very reasonable. FBO is clean enough to eat off the floor. Self-serve fuel pump was fast and easy. Walked about 5 minutes to eat at one of several fast food restaurants. Take your pick of Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, McDonalds or Burger King. There is also a sit down Mexican place highly recommended by the locals as well as a Wal-Mart Superstore. Picked up my IFR clearance in the air. Could not find directions to the key box for the courtesy car. Tried the CTAF numbers but to no avail. The walk was great though. I will be back.

Stopped by Kennett on the way to Illinois from Texas. One of the best places to stop I've ever had the pleasure of using. We were allowed to use the courtesy van overnight, and the fuel price was like a relic from yesteryear. Low. After our experience with Kennett, my wife and I would definitely go out of our way to stop there on our next trip up north. Excellent facilities. Thank you Wally!

From Chip Osborn on 11-Nov-2007
Best fuel prices around. Nice new terminal facility. Nice runways and taxiways. You can get in the terminal 24 hours a day.

From Alan Monshausen on 10-Nov-2007
The attendant who was there for several years is now working for the schools. A woman from the maintenace facility next door comes over part time to take care of the books and bldg. The gas is strictly self-service. If you need assistance and no one is there, I would suggest going to the maintenance office.

From Laurent Jouet on 28-Oct-2007
Still the best deal ... Great facility and we will be back

From Tom Barger on 04-Oct-2007
Stopped in for fuel on a cross-country. The new terminal building is gorgeous, and the people are as friendly as ever. Fuel prices are the BEST! I highly recommend this airport!

From Ralph O'Quinn on 12-Sep-2007
Stopped here twice on a trip from Texas to Ohio. Extremely nice people. Clean and nice facility. We were stuck in Kennet on the return trip due to weather and they let us use the van overnight. I will stop here anytime that I am in the area! Thanks Kennet!

From Ken Cashwell on 23-Aug-2007
Stopped in for fuel. Great fuel price, clean FBO up to date flight planning facilities, and a courtesy car to boot! A great tech stop! Thanks Kennett

From Shane Adair on 20-Aug-2007
One of the best Midwest stops around. Great fuel price and service. One of our favorites. The Adair’s N205AC

From Ken Andrew N377SB on 01-Aug-2007
A great stop, self-service works really well and pilot lounge is new. Prices as advertised. A very nice airport.

From Edward Figuli on 25-Jul-2007
Cheapest gas I found across the country. The self-serve pump worked as advertised and the FBO was nice and clean. Easy in and easy out.

From Robert Brooks on 22-Jun-2007
Stopped in on my way to Oklahoma for an Advance Pilot Seminar. Great facility, friendly and very well maintained. They were setting up for a BBQ cook off this coming weekend, would be a fun fly in. I would definitely stop again and may do so on my way home.

From L M Scudieri on 28-May-2007
Stopped in May 23: Quick self-turnaround, facilities clean. Great cross country stop.

From Bob Williams on 28-May-2007
Great fuel stop, low prices, clean modern facility, courtesy car, free internet/weather, restaurants and motels within walking distance. I have stopped in several times now and always had a pleasant experience.

From Doyce Graham on 26-Apr-2007
TKX is still one of our favorite stops. Assisted fuel service and price are excellent. Apparently lots of Sun-N-Fun traffic stopped in during the travel time.

From Randy Vogel on 10-Apr-2007
I stopped to fill up on my way to Southern Alabama based on their fuel price and great write-ups here on AirNav. I was definitely NOT disappointed! Their service was exceptional and the FBO was one of the cleanest I've ever seen...I'll stop here every time I come this way. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the fact they didn't have any Terminal Approach Procedures to sell (I needed one for Alabama). Luckily it was VMC all the way to my destination so I didn't need them but it would have been nice to be able to purchase one just in case. Overall though, it was a great experience!

From Kurt Gross on 08-Mar-2007
Stopped in just for fuel. Airport manager came out and pumped it. Nice place. Good fuel price.

From Chris Holliday on 15-Feb-2007
Stopped on my way to NY and everything was as advertised. Very easy SS fueling and GREAT price. They loaned me a car for lunch and there were several places just outside the entrance road. Even a Super 8 motel almost within walking distance. I will stop every time I can at this airport.

From Luther Walley on 30-Jan-2007
Fuel price as advertised, friendly helpful people, nice, clean FBO, courtesy van and McCormick's family restaurant all make this an excellent stop over.

From Geoffrey Applegate on 22-Nov-2006
This is one of the best fuel stops I have ever made. Good runways-quick in and out, and the some of the cheapest fuel prices I have seen. The FBO looks brand new-lots of nice facilities-I will be stopping here again for sure.

From Doyce Graham on 10-Nov-2006
As usual our stop at TKX was pleasant, fuel was $2.79, and Excellent assistance including finding a funnel for adding oil. Tie downs on airport property are now installed by the McDonalds restaurant. One can taxi to the restaurant by leaving 18-36 to the north using the grass area. Stops at Kennet, MO (TKX) are highly recommended.

From Del Johnson on 17-Oct-2006
Awesome fuel stop. Cheapest gas around. Courtesy car, many restaurant choices, newly paved runway, new/clean facilities, internet PC in planning room.

From Bob Parks on 05-Oct-2006
Quick and easy fuel stop. Can't beat the price and new facilities.

From Cecil George on 27-Sep-2006
Excellent fuel stop. Nice new facility.

From Mark Dymond on 25-Sep-2006
Stopped in on Sun aftn, 09-17-06. Place closed but the police dispatcher opened the lobby as per the instructions on the phone box adj to the FBO door. Great newish facility w/Wx screens, nice lounge, vending, very clean bathrooms, and a courtesy car on the honor system. Terrific fuel price too! This is the absolute prototype FBO for us in the small GA game. Likely one of the top 5 FBO's in the entire country for the small guy.

From Paul Mandel on 25-Sep-2006
This is a MUST stop if you are in the area. Best fuel price around, Great facility and the best service that you can get at a self serve stop.

From John Hempel on 05-Sep-2006
I stopped for fuel on 9-3-06. Best prices in the area. The attendant fueled the plane for me, even though it was self-serve. I'm sorry to say that I didn't get his name. The facilities are brand new and VERY nice.

From Doyce Graham on 15-Aug-2006
TKX is a jewel and a gem. Two runways, excellent fuel prices, SS with assist during work hours. Jet A available. Food and lodging is less than 1/4 mile away with courtesy car available. The terminal is new and mirror in the ladies is now hung.

From David Cartwright on 22-Jul-2006
An inexpensive and reliable fuel stop. I landed there on the way from Wisconsin to Louisiana and then again on the return. Not a soul in site but fuel pump worked fine, and the brand new terminal is accessible by a call box to the local police who were able to open the door by remote control (after finding the code list). Great mid country stop.

From Neal Kite on 03-Jul-2006
This is got to be one of the cheapest places for fuel. The terminal is so new, I thought I was going to yet yelled at for not taking my shoes off walking across the floor. If you have to bed down for the night, there is a Wal-Mart, McDonald's, BK, Taco Nell, Pizza Hut, Days Inn, Super 8 right across the street. There is also a strip plaza with other shops but this is what I could see from the terminal area. Also there is a golf course on the other side of the runway. No ground transportation needed at this airport everything appears to be within walking distance. I am adding this to my list of fuel stops when travling back to and from FL.

From Donald Lambert on 19-Jun-2006
This was my first experience with assisted self-service. Quite nice. The man who assisted us was very friendly and helpful. The new terminal must be close to complete as we were able to use the rest rooms inside, but nothing else was up and running yet. It will be great when completed. The gas price ($3.39, 100LL) was very low and much appreciated. We walked across the field at the end of the runway to a gate at the McDonald's parking lot (they also offered us their courtesy car). The walk was good to get off of the back side after a long flight, but watch out for those little round things with barbs all over them that stick to your shoe laces, socks, and pant cuffs. They're sharp! We'll definitely stop in again.

From Chris Head on 31-May-2006
Stopped 5/27/06 on the way to Indy 500. New terminal still not finished but is close. Jewell Aviation facilities still available for use. Young man staffing the office was quick to assist with the fueling despite the heat! Stopped again on the return flight around 9pm Monday night. The ability to enter the Jewell Aviation facilities was much appreciated as well as the gate to walk to the McDonald's.

From Jim Loach on 02-Mar-2006
A new terminal building is under construction. Still great service. Airport manager is right there in a temporary office building and during the day, Jewell Air Service next door is open so you can use their very nice restrooms and factilities. Courtesy Van is still there and they are as helpful as ever. The new terminal will be a little larger than what has been there before.

From Gary M. Plewa on 27-Feb-2006
Great fuel price and friendly helpful service.

From Frank Santoro on 03-Nov-2005
Can't say much that hasn't already been said - great airport and FBO, doors open late, lockbox to enter terminal after hours is handy, nice walk across north end of the field to McDonalds, even got a little souvenir from the cotton patch!

From John J. Sullivan on 10-Sep-2005
1 Sep Stopped by for a quick turn and cheap fuel prices. Got both. Got charged the guaranteed price in spite of the fact that they just received a new load that cost them more than they charged me. Excellent service. Can walk to nearby McDonald's, but courtesy car is also available.
