This is a good stop for fuel. Full service at SS prices. The guy on the Unicom provided wind information on frequency upon our initial call without asking. The courtesy car is just as others have described but it got us to lunch and back so no complaints here. All in all it was a good experience.

Stopped here due to weather. Holiday Inn Express picked me up promptly with their shuttle. It is still under renovation in the lobby but my room was beautiful. Staff if very friendly and the breakfast was great. A week later (2 days ago) we stopped again for fuel. The courtesy car is old and rusty but got me to the local Burger King just fine. No flight planning area that I could see. FBO closes at 5pm.

On the way to Oshkosh, overnighted friendly service, nice dog. Didn't know about Fred's tricks. Days Inn picked us up and brought us back, but it is not there normal service. Holiday Inn full for little league tournament. Would stop again.

A terrific stop! Fred did his tricks, the Holiday Inn Express is 3 minutes away (they send their shuttle) and it has been recently redone: flat screen TV's, microwaves, fridge. The truck stop next door actually has GOOD food! We were heading to Boston from Seattle and swung south to avoid convective activity, and we were REALLY happy to overnight here! Everyone was exceptionally nice.

Great stop. Make sure you have Fred show you his tricks. He's a great dog. Oh and his owner is pretty nice too. Really enjoyed my time there.

Copy all of the other positive comments; this is a GREAT stop! Fred greeted me immediately, and I couldn't stop petting him. Jerry and Jim were A-OK, too. Great hangar talking airport... I'm glad I didn't say anything stupid before I found out that Jerry was a DE. Holiday Inn Express picked me up within a few minutes. All around, an excellent experience.

Excellent fuel stop. Friendly man (and dog), nice facility. Check for fuel price increase soon.

Unbelievable Service! We diverted here due to weather late on Saturday night. No one was here, so we tied down and called the Holiday Inn to get a room. They picked us up in less than 10 minutes! They also took us to a restaurant and picked us up afterwards. The next morning (Sunday) we took the shuttle back to the airport. Called the After Hours fuel phone # and they were there to help in 15 minutes! This is a great stop with reasonable fuel and great service by the whole town.

Torrington is a great airport with friendly staff. The Holiday Inn Express was timely picking us up and the motel was in top shape. They drove us to town for dinner at Deacon's. Deacon's is an excellent restaurant and you won't leave hungry.

Great place to stop, and the best fuel prices in the area. Crew car makes it easy and quick to get food. The people are friendly and helpful, and it's worth stopping just to meet Fred.

We flew into TOR on our way to Oshkosh and found we picked a great place to stop. Quick fueling, lowest fuel prices in wide area (price did NOT go up before Oshkosh--I monitored the price for a week before) and easy in and out. Holiday Inn Express will provide transportation to hotel and town for dinner. If you are a dog lover, Fred makes the stop even better.

Wonderful airport and people. Stopped both ways KBOI to KMLE. Sunday fuel call at 0630 and airport manager arrived with chocolate Lab Fred. Don't know who smiled more, the airport manager or Fred. Clean, friendly folks with great pricing on fuel! Will be a standard stop on our flight!

TOR is a great little airport, run by very helpful and friendly people. Since it can often be VERY windy in the Torrington area, it is good to know their two runways provide options. Avgas prices are competitive, and maybe a little better than neighboring airports.

I arrived at KTOR after hours on a Saturday. I had called ahead and spoken with Jerry who offered to meet me when I landed and help me put the plane in their hangar. Jerry met me in -10 F temperatures and gladly helped me hangar the plane and made sure that Tannis was plugged in. The service here was terrific.
