I live less than 1/4 mile from KCLW (Clearwater) but I choose to base my Cirrus at Peter O'Knight. Great service from the FBO staff and the line guys are simply terrific. Great hangar prices and the runways and airport are in top shape. My sincere suggestion would be that Atlas Aviation drop their fuel price, about $3/gal would be about right, to provide the help and service we GA pilots need. Lakeland, which is a Class D airport, has the self-serve fuel price for 100LL at $4.55 currently ... That's $3.44 less than Atlas is charging! In fact Atlas is priced higher than Tampa International! Come on guys, make this wonderful airport fuel friendly.

Flew to Tampa for a conference and selected KTPF and Atlas Aviation. They quickly marshaled me to a spot in front of the FBO, helped me unload the plane and honored my request not to re-fuel the plane until the evening before my scheduled departure. Fuel and tie down charges are a bit pricey, but then again it is a major metropolitan area as well as a tourist destination. Overall, a very good experience.
