Needed to drop of a passenger at KVCV today. Asked tower where I could park without paying a fee. Directed to free public parking at base of tower. Fuel truck arrived immediately without asking, but none was required. Passenger walked a short distance to terminal to call taxi. Overall a pleasant experience.

Who lands in Victorville? Stopped there in the Trinidad both on the way from Dallas to Northern California and then again on the way back. Cafe at the field but we did not try it. Fuel is priced reasonable, line service is excellent. Most professional aircraft marshaling I have ever seen. Tower on the field is friendly. Two runways and ramp all in good condition. This is a Very big place. Not very busy when we were there. Easy place to stop with most everything you need. Rental car was ready, all good. What makes this place special is the huge number of stored airliners. I have never seen so many 747's at one time. No tours, but as you taxi, it becomes your own tour. Have your copilot be ready with the camera in the air and when you taxi to Million Air.

I've stopped here a couple times on XC ferry flights in helicopters. Always a fun place to see. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. The lunch spot is tasty but I sadly found out that they are only open on weekdays. I'll be back next time I'm in southern Calif. Plus they have a putting green!!!
