Two outcomes are possible at Dooney. One, you get the normal friendly fellow and have a pleasant experience. Two, you get the guy who isn't and obviously has "issues" as they say. Reminds me of the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld.

Response from Dean Morrone, Dooney Aviation
As an employee of Dooney Avaition where there are only three people who actually work there I would like to see some of these comments substantiated with dates, times, and names. During busy periods it is difficult to give the level of service one expects at a FBO that charges two more dollars a gallon for fuel and gives you a five cent bag of popcorn. It is sdifficult to understand why pilots run their planes on the ramp for twenty minutes spewing kerosene smoke into the building. Next time they will be staged in the boon docks. Or how about Newman (Like the Seinfeld remark) who comes and leaves his Seneca in the middle of the ramp and leaves in his car that he parks in our lot for nothing. No more Park for free.(Soup Nazi Talk) How about the pilots that go against the flow when pulling up for fuel. Then start up at 2500 RPM and blow the hangar with their 3 bladed props. Wake up some of you pilots as it really isn't all about you.

Came here when Groton wanted $50 overnight fee plus high gas prices...worth the stop. Fuel price as advertised, good folks provide great service. Enterprise rental car is a bit pricey and has to be delivered but I'll put up with this before being ripped off at GON.

Great service, best fuel prices to date, and friendly FBO office. Courtesy car was available for our trip to MGM Grand at Foxwoods. Please give a donation for the car use, as I did. Westerly, RI is also worth a visit.

The people at Dooney usually seem annoyed when you pull up for fuel. I now only "annoy" Landmark Aviation at the same airport where they seem to welcome my business.

Great service. Best prices. Nothing more to say.

I've been buying avgas at Dooney every opportunity I get for the past 2 years. Lowest price in the area. I've not had a problem with the staff there at all, and find them to be friendly.

Have been using Dooney for fuel over the last few months and have always experienced friendly and attentive staff and the lowest fuel prices around.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to fly into this airport and this FBO is terrible. I was returning from VT and had heard that the fuel was cheap. But I have to tell you if the fuel were 10 cents I would not stop here because of the terrible people here. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Great golf course restaurant behind Dooney. Walk two greens, you are there.

Fuel prices great. Lineman was incredibly rude. I open with "Hi, how are you doing today?" He replies, "I was great until someone ran up their airplane on my ramp" When I explained that this was a brand new engine that had been experiencing plug fouling and that I was following my mechanic's orders to the letter, he replied "Run it like the car that it is". This guy should be lubing U-joints at the local Valvoline and should be kept far from your airplane. Managers at Dooney, teach your linemen that these are not Chevy's we are flying, and that there are certain things we do as pilots on the ground to ensure safe flight. The lineman can pull his Ford Escort off to the side of the road when he hears a funny noise, I don't have that same luxury. I'll pay the extra few pennies for my fuel and get more professional service elsewhere. Perhaps this was an anomaly and he'll be in a better mood when you fuel up.

Always stop at Dooney's for fuel. Best prices around for 100LL and great service!

Closing time is 6:00pm at Dooney. Don't expect gas at 5:45. Twice I got to the pumps at 5:45 and could not get gas. Poor timing will cost fifty cents a gallon more at the self-serve.
