Great airport... Lots of weekend traffic, but they seem to be really disciplined. I am renting from Hertz again tomorrow for the 5th or 6th time. They have always been courteous and helpful, delivering the car to the ramp when I called.

Nice restaurant/bar with excellent bartender on field. Car rentals only available until 6pm; no courtesy car. Cab to Santa Cruz roughly $50. Tie-down $6.00/night not $5.50 as posted, not waived after $300 fuel... Annoying.

I had another great week-end at WVI. Keep your eyes open for lots of traffic during nice weather days, an ultralight, Bonanza (myself), a twin turboprop and a jet in traffic pattern at the same time. I have always had good experience with Hertz rental car located at the airport.
